Rated 5 out of 5 by mousedeer Fantastic sweater
First off, the sweater is incredible warm and soft and fits me perfectly. I'm 6'1, athletic build and the medium is just right. Well made.
I did notice one thing though, the color of the Timber version that I bought is a lot lighter and 'heathery' than the picture shows. It's more of a faded brown, woodsy look than the solid brown color shown. I like the color it came in, but be warned it's not as shown.
If anyone wants a nice warm, fitting sweater for chilly nights, this is the sweater you want!

Nice midweight cashmere, soft and warm. My husband wears a 39L sport jacket (usually a "medium" in Bean clothing), but I bought the Large and he seems happy with the fit. Great value!

The Cashmere turtleneck sweater is not the thin, almost transparent sweater that is on the market so often these days. It is a heavy , soft fabric that is comfortable to wear and warm. I'd prefer it with a raglan sleeve, but that would be gilding the lily.
The sweater I bought was on sale and that made it even better.

I have an athletic build, 5'11", just shy of 180 lbs. The medium fits me perfectly. The sweater has held up well so far, and is warm without being too hot. I love how it looks and my girlfriend loves how soft it is. I wish I could afford to buy more in other colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Whynotnickname Nice fit, but unexpected color
This is an old-school "roll neck" sweater with a substantial collar (think WWII RAF pilots), but the fabric is light and not constricting. The fit borders on slim-fit. I am 5'10" and 160 LBS and the medium fits well with no excess or bagginess.
My only complaint is with the color. The actual sweater (deep forest green) has more blue yarn to it than pictured in the catalogue (which is a very dark green) or on the website (which appears to have some gray heather). The actual color clashes a bit with the clothes I wanted to wear this with. I'm going to take this to the Freeport store to see whether there is a sweater with less blue yarn.

These are a great deal considering fit, price, comfort, etc. The neck is long so you can fold it if you like, or keep it extended for a cozy feel. Cannot beat cashmere for softness, and yet they also have a rugged appearance.

This sweater is nicely tailored. Thick enough to experience the richness of cashmere but not so heavy as to become too warm for indoors. If it ever goes on sale it would be a good buy.

This sweater is made well, feels as soft as it should, the navy color is intense - which I like - and the size fits me perfectly. I only wish I could afford to purchase another!

Have been purchasing Navy turtlenecks for40 years-good ones are hard to find. This the finest, most comfortable sweater I have ever worn-hands down. Worn without teeshirt. Am 6' and about 210 and the x-large fits well. Am going to bite the bullet, dig deep and purchase another one for the day my current sweater wears out.

I love this sweater and I really like the quality and softness of the cashmere. Unfortunately, the neck size was too big for me. Other than that, the sweater fitted perfectly.
