Rated 1 out of 5 by LavalShopper Neck opening too small
I just received this item today but was unable to try it, the neck opening is too small. I have a small head, I used to buy my hats in the kid's department.
I ordered my regular size, a small.
I don't know if this is a manufacturing defect, it was on sale.
There was a review of that type but it was in 2012 and I thought that the problem would have been resolved. There were good reviews also, so I took a chance. It was not a good one. I have to send it back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Pequawket Sorry, But Not Among My Favorites
I recently purchased this item to add to my collection of long-sleeved undergarments I have used for layering during this long, cold winter and now still-snowy spring.
Although the price (on sale) and color were fine, I found the product fit to not be up to my usual enthusiastic review. I ordered a size small, which is normally good for me for this type of top, but the sleeves are too short to use the thumb hole feature. Also, I do notice the seams; they are not terribly bothersome, but I am aware of them. One other annoyance is that there is somewhat of a "pucker" on the inside of the elbow, almost as if the sleeves were sewn to the armhole 180 degrees in the wrong direction.
Although not completely an apples-to-apples comparison, I would recommend to potential purchasers two other options with which I have indeed been thrilled. If you are looking for thumb holes, my favorite has been item # TK266357, the Powerdry Expedition Weight Base Layer Turtleneck-Zip Misses Regular, in which I own a small in Royal Plum. For a lighter weight and plain long sleeves, I like item TK285602, the Heat Keepers Everyday Long Underwear Long Sleeve Scoopneck Misses Regular, of which I own two in small, both Deep Turquoise.
Overall, I found this product to be sub-standard to Bean's usual high quality...regrettably!

Rated 3 out of 5 by LizzieF Irritating seams, short sleeves
While the quality of this shirt initially seemed high, I was disappointed as soon as I tried it on. The seams on the inside, especially the arms, were extremely noticeable and irritating. If wearing for a run or other vigorous exercise, they would probably chafe quite badly. The sleeves were also too short for the thumb holes, I felt like my hands were pulling on the sleeves the entire time.
With some redesign, this could be a great shirt, but unfortunately I had to return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dquant1 great fabric, nice and warm
This shirt fit perfectly and I am a girl who has long arms and broad shoulders even though I am slim. Also stays tucked in, which is essential for a base layer. The fabric is of excellent quality and is durable. I have worn this under my clothes and stayed dry all day even when temps warm up some. Love this shirt!

Looks like another great product from LLBean. Bought at the store in Freeport Maine this time while visiting. Soft fabric and looks like this will be a great kayak shirt for brisk January Florida kayaking.

I was very disappointed with the fit of this top. The neck opening was WAY too small, and the thumb holes were a little too high. I had to send this one back.

Great fit. Wore on whale watching trip in Alaska. Cold and Wet weather. Wore under the PolarTec Fleece, with a rain jacket and stayed warm and dry.

I was disappointed with this base layer. The neck was way too tight and the fit through the torso was not flattering at all. I ended up returning it.

This is a very great product! When I ride my motorcyle, it does a fabulous job! I tend to ride in all kinds of weather and it does the job for being lightweight and not bulky. I love them!
