Rated 3 out of 5 by clothed rather slim fit
These fit quite a bit slimmer than the "canvas pant" sold here, which fit me perfectly. I had to return these cords because they were much too tight in the thigh and seat.
Other than being too slim in the thigh for my build they're nice. If I were skinnier I'd like them.

These pants looked great online, but when they arrived, I noticed the button fly and the very noticeable gold piping. These pants wouldn't go over well with my husband so I am returning them. I don't recall seeing that they were button fly in the description and the gold stitching is much more noticeable in person and takes away from the pant, in my opinion.

Rated 3 out of 5 by cp1313 I LOVE THESE PANTS . . .
black w/ contrast stitching . . . wanted them for 2 months . . . thot of all kinds of things to wear w/ them . . . finally they arrived and they are beautiful. Can hardly get those fly buttons undone to try them on. Now I remember why I've only had one pair of button-fly jeans. These dudes are going back to LL.

The pant has buttons; I don't want to take the time to deal with buttons! But more importantly, it wasn't mentioned in the description. I like the pant but not the inconvenience of not having a zipper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GhastalIF Great Cord!
These pants are great. Terrific fit, super comfortable, and very nice looking. They are a bit expensive IMO, but I got them off gift cards, discounts, etc. so no biggy! I definitely recommend them.

I really like the way these cords fit, and the contrasting thread detail is nice (and not as pronounced to me as one reviewer implied).
The only negative is that these cords pick up a lot of lint, pet hair, etc,. I haven't had this problem with other cords I own. I constantly have to be careful where and what I sit on in fear of being covered in stuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AtlLLBean Great for me!
First off I am always having trouble finding good fitting pants for my body type. I am a rugby player, 6'6 240lbs. I wear a 38 x 34 or a 40 x 34. Whenever I order pants they are extremely baggy and loose.
I ordered a 40 x 34 of these pants. They fit great! They aren't baggy and the length is great. Good fitting pants are such a rarity that I immediately ordered another pair.
They look great with a pair of bean boots for a hike or work with a button up on casual Friday at the office.
Hope this helps.

I really like the look of these pants, I just wish that the rise would be a little bit higher, so they stay up better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by TimInSF "Black slate" is navy blue with orange
The picture and color name led me to expect charcoal gray. Instead, these cords are navy blue with bright orange stitching--not a combination that appeals to me. Oh well, there goes $6.50 (cost of return shipping). At least they don't have the inexplicable tunnel belt loops that show up on many LL Bean dress slacks. Otherwise, I agree that the fabric seems a little thin, but I do appreciate that they aren't cut for heavy set people like most regular LL Bean clothes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by EileenPM Fit didn't work
I bought these for my husband in his normal size. He is pretty slim. They just didn't fit him in the leg/thigh area. They had to go back. They looked like nice quality, etc, though a little pricey. I had read the reviews and several people alluded to the fit issue. I guess I should have paid more attention and not ordered them.
