Rated 2 out of 5�by MamaGoldielocks Giant Neckline This shirt looked adorable online and like something my daughter would reach for to throw on frequently. Like others have said, the material is thin, which isn't the biggest issue. The neckline is so huge that it slides off of one of my daughter's shoulders! Even with a tank underneath, it seems inappropriate for a 9 year old. She wore it once and was constantly adjusting the neck. I've packed it up in hopes that it may fit my younger daughter better in a few years. I buy almost all of my girls' clothes from LL Bean and this is the first time I've been less than 100% satisfied with a purchase. April 23, 2013

I bought it for my 12 year old grand-daughter to wear for her winter concert but she didn't because it is so thin you could see her underwear very clearly and her skin where the undergarment ended. It was well made and would have been perfect but saying it was lightweight didn't mean sheer. I had to return it which I am loathe to do but her mom would never let her wear it. Bean needs to describe things better. December 19, 2012

She has been wearing it for a year and it still looks like new. The gathered style means that it fit her back then and still fits her now. Incredible. This is the piece that turned me into an LL Bean partisan. November 9, 2012

The fabric is soft, the color (purple) is still bold after many washings and it looks great with the short it was paired with in the catalog. A little pricey for a long sleeve t-shirt but it held up and with another year of use, was worth the cost. September 4, 2012

Works well for everyday and for slightly dressier events. No shrinkage that I noticed, and colors remain true after many washes. I hope Bean keeps this style for a few seasons! November 30, 2011
