Rated 2 out of 5 by AndieM Fit and Fabric Fail
I really like the color offered in these mid weight bottoms. However, I'm not such a fan of the fabric or fit. I'm 5'9" 135 lbs, 32" inseam, with an athletic build and while the pants are indeed too short, that is the least of their failings. 1) Size small is much too big for me. The waist fits well enough to suffice, but the the legs are enormous overall, but especially so in the hips and thighs. 2) Fabric has very little stretch to accommodate movement or variations across body shapes and sizes. Subsequently, the fit is neither smooth or comfortable, and with the abundant bagging in the fit, will probably not perform as intended. I would love a Polartech Power Dry base layer in a mid weight fabric that has enough stretch to conform to my shape without bagging and to move with me without being restrictive. These do not do provide any of these qualities. Very disappointed!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by nmrider Size runs big
I'm 5'2" and 110lbs -- the small is huge on me. Fits more like a medium/large. Unfortunately, there is no extra small. The length is ok.
I have the Women's Power Dry Stretch Base Layer, Expedition Weight Pants that I bought a couple of years ago in size small and those are great -- not too tight, not too loose. So I figured a size small would work in these. I'm guessing the difference is the "stretch," which these don't have. So back they will go. :-(

Rated 4 out of 5 by Durrah Polartec Power Dry Midweight Base Layer Pants
Received this in Purple last week. Kept me warm during my daily walk / jogs during the past couple of cold and windy days in New Jersey when temperatures were hitting 40-50 degrees. I'm normally between size 8 -10 Medium but I bought a Small based on previous reviews, and the fit was just perfect, not too tight nor too loose. Planning to get another pair for this coming winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chaween Baselayer for cold outdoor activities
These Polartec base layer pants are very warm. Under insulated ski pants they keep me incredibly warm even when it is snowing and the chair lift is really cold.
They wash very well and retain their shape.
These pants run big. I ordered my regular size but had to replace them with a pair one size smaller.

I purchased these to wear under jeans during a Christmas week vacation in Sweden. I was walking outside for 2-6 hours every day with temperatures ranging from 20-28 degrees and stayed perfectly warm. I'm 5'7", 170 lbs and the Large fit me well...not too snug, not too loose. They are very comfortable and do not twist or bind. Definitely recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by debpez Great but too big
Nice material; comfortable and insulating against the cold. I like that they come all the way to the waist. However, according to LLBean measurements, I would take a medium and in this case, a small would have been much better. I did not return them but use the OVER my longjohns and that is working. My advice is to order a size down if you want to use them as described.

Great color and nice first layer. Order one to two sizes smaller. They come very large. Almost like men's sizes

I liked the fabric, I love my midweight polartec shirt. Since the fabric is not very stretchy, they were loose around the waist in the back. (I have a curvy figure). Therefore, when I squatted, they did not stay up in the back and would have not kept me warm back there! These pants were returned

I love them. I have the black and plum. I got these because I work in surgery and I'm in the operating room 2 days a week. My doctor likes the room freezing cold! They keep me warm. Also I just returned from Amsterdam and Paris. They fit great with skinny jeans and leggings. I got the x-small based upon other reviews that they run a little big. I am so glad I did because they fit perfectly.
