The inside sock lining the sock proper is too bulky, so it Is difficult to insert foot correctly without distorting the overall fit. Mistakenly, I thought I'd give it a try but no luck. I'd return it but too late now, having already worn and experimented with it.

This item keeps my feet nicely warm all day in the house and will probably pay for themselves by keeping the heater turned off.

Theses slipper socks are excellent: perfect fit ( large), very warm, and beyond comfortable. They take the place of slippers because they keep my ankles and calves very warm ( 11 inches in height),
and they are not bulky like slippers. Also, the sole is very cushioned and soft, yet sturdy enough to walk on cement if need be.
I bought the ones for $49.99 and worth every penny.
I could even wear these to bed if I wanted to keep my feet super warm on a cold night. BUY THEM

I bought these for my husband recently to replace an old pair. He loves these! He says they are warmer and more comfortable than the ones he had, and they come up higher on his legs. We keep our house very cool, so if these keep him warm enough, I know it is a great product!

First off, these are NOT " Norwegian" - they are communist CHINA resourced. For my usual size 13D, they are a wee short length and width. However, they do keep my feet warmer as I usually run around barefoot but since electric costs keep rising, I'll use these every day this winter and also use the heavy duty robe I bought along with the slipper socks. The ad blurb said not to wear them outside as I think the soles are deer hide. And yes, I found that there is actually a right and left sock.

?They fit well & are not difficult to get on my feet (some other, similar items have a tight instep, the bend between the foot & ankle, but these are plenty wide in that area, to permit easy-on, easy-off)
? very attractive winter pattern
?they're part acrylic, something I usually avoid, but this acrylic adds warmth & is quite soft
?the bottoms grip smooth floors & help to avoid slipping
?I was worried that they might not keep my feet warm, but they do

Rated 5 out of 5 by IamWandaful Norwegian Bird's-Eye Knit Slipper socks are toasty
These are very warm and comfy. I do have to say, though, if you are diabetic you may want to look for something that fits a little looser. They can get tight around the top and could result in foot-swelling. I bought these slippers for my mom as her feet are always cold and her feet actually got a little too warm in them, so she is holding off on wearing them until the colder season. She also has a foot disfigurement, but these slipper socks go right on with no problem and finds them to be more comfy than her specially made shoes. I recommend them for people who suffer with cold feet all winter.
