I needed new boots for snowmobiling in Western NY. I love pack boots because they have kept my feet warm for riding 100+ miles per day with very cold temperatures. I normally wear size 11 shoes, so I ordered size 12 to have extra room for better warmth. The size 12 was very tight so I returned them for size 13 and they fit perfect. They are very nice boots but they run small so order one size larger than you normally would.

I bought these to replace a pair of Beans Pac boots that I had bought 40+ years ago. They have a hole in the rubber bottom and Beans no longer has the mold to replace them.
I tried other newer technology boots and was not happy with the bulk and stiffness and decided to give these a try.
They are very similar to the 40+ year old boots that they are replacing. Very happy with the soft soles, allowing you to feel what is underfoot while still hunting. I have not worn them in freezing cold weather but I imagine they are similar to other "pac" style boots and will be satisfactory.

I just got the boots and it is Aug. so I have not been able to really try them out. Upon trying them on I feel that they are a little short and fairly tight. I am worried that this may lead to a circulation problem and my feet will get cold. I usually wear thick socks but won't be able to. I am going to try to use them hoping the liner mushes down some to give me more room. I wear a 10 in women's and an 8 in men's so I got the 8 in men's. I think the 9 may be too big and I don't want to keep sending them back. For now I will wait and see if they break in a little. I am outside for about 3 hours everyday all winter so I will write another review after I really get to experience them.

These boots are the best winter boots I have ever had. We have had lots of snow and very cold weather (wind chills of down to -60 degrees) this winter and these boots have kept my feet warm and dry. They have a very good tread which has helped to prevent slipping or falling. They were comfortable from the first time I wore them. No breaking in needed. I would recommend these boots to anyone. Thanks, LLBean!

I purchased these boots in kelp green for my husband. He has hated previous winter boots I have purchased for him (other brands) and always complained about cold feet after shoveling snow. Problem solved! He not once complained this winter about cold feet and he loves these boots. He wears a 12 or 13 shoe so I ordered a 12 based on other reviews and they fit perfect. After almost four months of daily wear he did break one of the finger loops on the back that helps pull up the boot (his favorite feature of the boot), I called customer service and they shipped him a brand new pair three days from receiving my call. Excellent boots and excellent customer service. Highly recommended.

had boots only a week or so. comfortable, fit great.. I wear a 12 brooks running shoe and the 12 boot is perfect, even with a heavy sock. Time will tell on longevity, but it s from LL bean so I am not worried :)

I bought these boots to use while working on a husky farm in the arctic. These boots held up during months of 14+ hour work days and kept me warm in temperatures as low as -40F. If you're buying these to use in extreme cold conditions, keep in mind that your feet actually stay warmer in shoes that are too big. If there is a lack of air circulation in your boots, you are much more likely to get frostbite on your toes. I bought these 2 sizes bigger than usual so I could wear two pairs of wool socks and still not feel constricted. I kept the laces tied but loose so they could be slipped on easily if I had to run outside and never had any issues with them falling off my feet or anything. They are wide and definitely a bit clunky, but were exactly what I needed in a boot. After about 5 months of wear, one of the loops on the back that I used to pull the boots on broke, but it was only a minor inconvenience and L. L. Bean replaced them right away when I brought them into a store. I highly, highly recommend these shoes for heavy duty work, extreme cold, or even just having boots to slip on in the wintertime.

I bought these boots because I live in Michigan and it gets pretty cold in this state. The superior workmanship put into these boots is outstanding. They are confortable and a great boot for working outside, in our harse winters. If you are looking for a boot to keep your feet warm when you are just sitting and not moving, I wouldn't advise on purchasing them though. My feet got cold when I was immobile. Other than that, they are my best friend for doing chores when the temperature is below freezing.

When I first received these boots they were a very snug fit but after about 30 minutes they loosened up and now are perfect.
I am impressed with the very high quality materials and fit.
These boots seem very warm. Expensive, but have a lifetime warranty. Wish I would have bought a pair 20 years ago.
