Rated 4 out of 5 by Armand Nice "hybrid" hat
This hat sits somewhere between a knit winter beanie and a baseball cap, and it's really nice. I have a few minor complains, but I still recommend it.
Pros: 100% wool, warm, looks nice, the brim will keep a winter jacket or raincoat hood out of your face, it looks pretty cool. You can "unroll" the back of the cap to cover your ears on very cold days or fold it up over your ears on warmer days.
Cons: Honestly it's a bit snug around my skull and I can feel it pulling against my forehead a bit; I am hoping it will loosen up a little as I wear it more. For some reason the tag sit low on the hat, so if you roll the cap up (to make it shorter) the tag is exposed which looks kind of funny. I am thinking about cutting the tag off to deal with this.
A few other notes: The brim is not as long as a baseball-cap brim, so it provides a bit of shade, but not great against direct sun exposure. Other than the annoyingly-placed tag, there are no noticeable logos or art on the hat. Note that the top of the hat is flat (sitting more like the top of a traditional hat and less like the top of a baseball cap, or another way to describe it is that it has a flat top not a curved top that hugs your skull). If you don't pull it down when you put it on, it looks kind of funny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JMan Big Head
Since I have a big head I was concerned the ski hat would be too small and read some reviews that it was too thin. I have to say, it's a good fit. Since it is wool, any thicker would be too thick. The brim sets it apart and keeps the snow off my glasses.

This hat is just ok. The wool is soft and the construction is great, however this hat is more of a fall/spring hat. It?s just not thick enough to keep you warm at anything below 10 degrees. I think it would ideal for city dwellers or people in warm winter environments?30 degrees or more.

The recipient was delighted to have a warm hat with a visor, and that covered his ears. He immediately discarded the old wool hat, and wears this one daily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MainlyMimi Stylish, Warm, Not just for men
Stylish, warm, good for around town wear. Purchased for boyfriend to have a good quality warm hat that was not "ski-capish" whilst providing good ear coverage. When it arrived "I" tried it on and realized this hat has a stylish look on women too! Then; I was almost hoping boyfriend would not really like it and I would keep it. Turns out - he was delighted and luvs it and it looks great on his roundish faced head. Effectively keeps ears warm in these below 0 wind chills we're currently having in Jersey. I suggest Beans comes up with additional colors in this same/similar style for us girls. I like that it is not so tight that it smooshes down hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Baugmo not what I expected
Really nice hat, but not what I expected. I thought it would be more like a ball cap but it's huge. Not huge in the sizing but in the style. It almost completely covers the ears without folding the sides down. Not what I wanted at all but that doesn't make it a bad hat. It's *very* thick and warm and stretchy, has a really nice texture and appears to be well made.

I like this ski hat. The quality seems good. The wool feels reasonably warm but soft (merino wool). I have a fairly big head and the hat still fits me, which is great. Ski hats sold in stores are often a little too small for me. The style is somewhat unique but I think it is passable in public. You'll know if you like the style just by looking at the picture. The brim sticks up just the slightest bit. The brim cannot be adjusted. All in all I am happy I ordered this ski hat.
