Rated 5 out of 5 by reviewersince83 Wool for summer? Yes!
This is one of the best pair of trousers I own for work. They look good, are comfortable and drape nicely- one of the most pleasant surprises was how breathable and airy they are- literally 'cooler' and more comfortable than poplin or seersucker in the summer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Beseeingyou Very poor hemming quality
Very disappointed. The hemming was puckered and not in a straight line. It's as if no one cared. Going back - at MY expense...

Rated 4 out of 5 by LexOffice Great fit, long wear, poor hem
I have two pair of these pants (grey color) purchased a year ago and nine months ago. Both have been washed over 22 times and still fit as well as the day they first arrived and show virtually no wear. I typically will wear them twice before throwing them in the laundry (following the directions on the label) and, because I am picky, I will touch them up with a steam iron on a low setting before putting them on. I like the choice of sizes. I wear a hard-to-find 35-inch waist and these provide a perfect fit. The weight is warm enough for winter in snow country, but cool enough on warm summer days. My only complaint is that the hem came out of one of the pants after only being worn only three times. Otherwise, I would have rated these pants as 5 stars. LL Bean promptly replaced using the express exchange and no questions asked, but it was still an annoyance to have to package it up and take it to a UPS drop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MooresvilleNC Sharp Looking Pants!
These are really nice looking pants. I ordered mine cuffed and they fit true to size. I've had multiple comments regarding how nice they look. I don't wear them every day, but if I have presentation or important meeting to attend, I find myself wearing these. I just ordered my second pair. They are little pricey, but I think it's worth having a few of these in your wardrobe for occasions that demand something a little nicer.

These "washable pants" have a care tag on them that says do not wash or dry; and Dry Clean. LL bean needs to update the description on these pants. These pants are OK but not washable which is the reason I purchased them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by sam4 washable wool pants
The material and the basic construction are good, but the final preparation is poor. The pant creases were not exact; so when hung on a hanger, the creases become rounded no matter how carefully one tries to align the edges. Also the no-cuff finishing was rounded and tacked but not pressed; so the pant bottoms look unfinished.

Rated 2 out of 5 by reppohSnaeBLL Must iron out wrinkles
I liked the fit and feel but was disappointed with the wrinkles. Washing these pants does not add wrinkles nor will washing remove wrinkles. You can't toss these in the hamper and expect the wrinkles to be washed out like other wrinkle resistant pants. Once these get wrinkled, you must iron the wrinkles out.
For me to continue to wear these pants without ironing, I'd have to hang them after wearing and before washing. Hanging my dirty pants is a little too much to ask.
If the wrinkles could have been washed out, these may have become my new favorite pants.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MountainousMan Material too thin
I much preferred the predecessor of this product. This product replaced the former style called, "Wrinkle Resistant Washable Wool Pant, Classic Fit, Plain Front," which was made with a heavier material and had a much nicer look, feel, and drape. The fit of the former style was perfect. Please bring back the original style.

October 6, 2014
Disappointing...pants require more than light touch up with iron. I set dryer to permanent press and removed the pants right away. They are still very wrinkled on the legs and really difficult to iron out. Hem on one side of pants came out after three washings. LL Bean should work on this defect as others have also mentioned the hems coming out. Would not purchase again.

After only wearing these pants twice, the hem is coming undone. I expected better from LL Bean. They fit and feel great, but if I have to fix them after only wearing them twice then this will be my first and last pair.
