We are going to clime some mountains in spring. This gear saves us a pair of snowshoe and save some backpack space when we are above the tree line. It is perfect if you just need to use it occasionally during a day hiking.

I bought these upon a friend's suggestion. I was not disappointed. Since I'm 61 and a tad overweight, the only real problem was pulling them on. But once that was accomplished, I LOVED how they provided confidence in snow covered ice. I have no fear of slipping out there now. Best to take them off indoors, not so much because they damage anything, but they're a bit slippery on floors! Makes sense. While less expensive models are available elsewhere, I think these will last and last.

Your rep told me information about a simple trick in order to use these stabilicers that is not printed on the box. I thought that they were missized until she suggested that I stretch the 2 back rubber sections before even attempting to put them on the shoes. This hint should be printed on the box. Even then, it is much easier to put them on the shoes first, then put the shoes on the feet. Finally it worked. They are put away for next winter.
We bought 2 pairs, his and hers.

I bought my first pair or Stabilicers last year. Unusually cold weather with rain on top gave us a full week of dangerous ice to navigate. Stabilicers could very well have saved me from a broken hip or even saved my life. I have since ordered a second pair to keep in my car. Easy to put on my boots or my shoes, they are great.

I purchased 2 pair of the Stabilicers; one for my wife, one for myself. We have a need to walk our dog regardless of the weather. This product works. It is difficult to get them on the shoe because of the wide size range. You need to buy the largest size available to fit your shoe size. You put your toes in first and then stretch the rubber back straps over the heel. Then you secure the front by the use of a Velcro strap. My worry is that the rubber back straps will break. The Stabilicer centers on the bottom of the shoe. The wider the shoe the more awkward it is to walk with them. They do work very well on icy surfaces. They work where without them; you could not walk at all. You cannot wear these indoors, the metal teeth would possibly damage your floors.

Money well spent. I got these for walking the dog and getting to the bus stop. There easy to put on and east to take off and light enough to carry around. The fact that they were made in the USA is a bonus.

Good traction, even on sheet ice. It took a strong pull to get the large size onto my 11 1/2 hiking boots. If my boots were any larger, I would probably need the the extra large size. The strap was too short to connect over the boots, but fortunately the rubber web holding the metal spikes stays in place without the strap, at least on my boots.

I needed something to attached to my boots for a charity walk over a frozen bay this past weekend. Usually snowshoe it but decided to walk it for variety. I was informed by those who'd walked it in the past that the usual stabilizers that just slip on would fall off before the end of the walk and I should get something with a strap that has some "teeth" as well. The Stablicers Lite Hikers were just what I needed! They were easy to put on and stayed on for all 6 miles.

I can't afford a fall at my age and with today's temps around 0 our walks and yard are hard packed snow and ice. With these Stabilicers on I can walk securely.

Live at the bottom of a big hill and find stabilicers very helpful when going up the hill on a snowy/icy day. Also use them when snow blowing the driveway. With the winter we've had they have been great. Definitely would recommend them.
