I have 2 pair of the Handsewn Slippers Suede with fleece lining; one in eggplant and one in a light blue. Great slippers that are no longer available for women; just for men.
So I took a chance and got the Oceanside slippers. They fit okay; I am size 8 W and Size 8 fit with bare feet. But I put on a medium weight sock and now they are snug and the toes are crammed in. I will keep these but use for spring and summer only.
The color says Dark Mulberry but they are really a bright raspberry.
Please BRING back ladies Handsewn suede slippers (fleece lining) in nice colors(navy, black, eggplant, etc.) ; they are far superior; much more substantial, the soles are much sturdier and they cost ten dollars less than these new slippers.
The one PLUS for the Oceanside slippers is NO FLOPPY BOWTIE on the front that comes undone several times a day?you either have to glue them down or cut them off before you wind up tripping over them.

What I really wanted was a leather slipper that was not suede. I just wore out a fabulous slipper in a pebbled leather that I'd had for at least 10 years (the gummy sole wore out, not the leather). However after searching for a while I realized that if I weren't a man or willing to spend close to $200, I wasn't going to find what I wanted. So I read the reviews and decided to try these. When they arrived, I gave them three applications of "Camp Dri" waterproofing (my main objection to the suede). These are wonderful slippers. They fit best on a bare foot (I bought the pile-lined version) and are wonderfully comfortable. I can wear them outside to take the dog out, which was a big requirement, and if I wore them running to the grocery store, it wouldn't look like I'd forgotten to change from my slippers. I can't speak yet to longevity, but I hope they last as long as my last pair (also from Bean's).

Rated 2 out of 5áby shopperlove very narrow for a medium width
I wanted to love these, bought 3 pairs in the past hoping the sizing would be fixed. These run very narrow and do not get wider as you wear them. I have tried the fleece lined and the unlined summer ones. Both are too narrow. The old llbean leather moccasins that were flanned lined were PERFECT. Wish they would bring them back.

The perfect slipper!! True to size if you are not going to wear socks with them. Extremely comfortable and flexible slipper. Very well made.

Rated 2 out of 5áby NYC81 the size is mis-marked
When I read other reviews that the size was larger than stated, I thought that would be good because I take an 8 1/2 and the shoes only come in full sizes. The 8 was huge! I checked to see if I had been sent a 9 instead of an 8. No, it was an 8. I decided to send them back and order a different slipper because I couldn't be sure a 7 would be big enough, and I didn't want to have to send them back a second time.

Rated 5 out of 5áby jbeagle Very nice slipper
I wanted a slipper to wear when the weather was just a little chilly and these fit the bill. I usually wear a size 8 shoe and that is the size I ordered in the slipper. The fit is good, just right without socks, a little snug with socks. I chose the blue color and I love it. Recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Clemma Comfy, and seemingly replace the handsewn slippers
First off, I totally disagree with those who say these run large and order down. I did, and had to exchange them.
I used to take an 8 in the handsewn slippers and ordered the same in these. They were too short. I'd rather have these slightly wide and wear a thin sock in them, than have them encase me like a glove and have my toes poking the ends of the toebox..
These slippers are soft and cozy. The sole is NOT the same as the handsewn slippers... does not come up high on the sides, alas. Also is not leather, is suede, so for those wanting slippers to wear outside on a wet lawn in the morning, these are not quite so ideal.
However, after LLBean changed the last and manufacturer of the handsewn slippers and got hundreds of complaints, guess they went for these. I, personally, loved the old handsewn ones and would buy them in a minute, but it has been about 4 years since they would fit mine, or apparently, most anybody's foot.
On to these... I got the bright navy. They are a nice color, definitely navy, but not a navy that is almost black.
Again, I'd caution not to order smaller than your normal size at all; I had to order larger.
They seem like good quality and comfortable. I think I will enjoy them.

Rated 3 out of 5áby Jetwoman100 Sole is thin and little support
I had been looking to replace my Bison doublesoled shearling lined slippers which apparently have been discontinued for women. The reviews on these Oceanside slippers were good but I found the soles too thin and very little foot support. Sending them back and trying Beans Wicked Good mocs.

Rated 5 out of 5áby c2700 Perfect slipper!
This review is for the flannel lined oceanside slipper. I bought a pair of these for myself about a year ago and I still love them. They are in great shape and I even got a pair for my mom. Perfect for people like me who hate all that fuzzy lining that tends to get matted. They keep feet warm without getting all sweaty! I'm usually an 81/2, so I order an 8 and the length was perfect. At first they were a little narrow, but now that they are worn in, the shoes fit perfectly. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a durable, comfortable slipper without all that fleece!

Stylish, sturdy and perfect for Texas weather. I wanted something I could wear in the house but not make my feet too hot. These are perfect! They do run a tad big so order a size down. So comfortable I am thinking of getting them in the other colors.
