Rated 3 out of 5 by mamakorea2 Narrow and PURPLE!
I would have much preferred the slippers to match the description. They are definitely a lavender rather than gray. I have a medium width foot and they feel narrow. Will be returning.

ordered these in gray...they look lavender...is that a fluke? should i exchange for another gray pair!? soooooo disappointing. the picture is the perfect shade of gray, but these are purple! they do fit well, and are comfortable. I'm a 7.5, got a 7.

Rated 2 out of 5 by iwantedgray Certainly MINIMAL Gray...
....but more like no gray at all. A better name would be Maximum Lavender. Aside from the misleading color description, they seem like they'd be great slippers. Alas, I'm returning them because purple is just not my jam.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 75mlg NARROW fit!
I was so excited to open these on Christmas morning, but that quickly turned to disappointment when I immediately tried to slip them on. My foot wouldn't even begin to fit it was so narrow. I reliably wear a 7(medium width). My 12yo who wears a size 5.5/6 got them on, but said no way would she wear them because they were too tight. Part of that may be the initial fluffiness of the inside, but I have a different pair of LL Bean slippers in size 7(med) that were way fluffier initially and have never had a problem. On top of the poor fit, I found the construction (especially the sole) to appear shoddy. I could see glue leakage all around and it looked like the rubber(?) sole had been hand cut by a child. I'll be returning these for a different LL Bean slipper because I still have faith in the company, just not in this pair of shoes!

I've always loved LL Bean Wicked Good fleece lined slippers but decided to try these unlined slippers for warmer months. Boy am I glad I did! These are, hands down, THE most comfortable slippers of all time. I absolutely love them. The memory foam makes them so comfortable I wear them anytime I'm in the house, If the sole were a little thicker, I'd probably wear them as regular shoes all day long. I also love the aqua color that was originally offered and hope new colors are added again in the spring.
Because you never know how long a good thing will last before it's modified, I ordered a second pair to have on hand when the first ones wear out.
I did order as suggested -- 1/2 size down. I usually wear an 8.5 to 9 shoe and ordered the 8. They were a bit snug out of the box, and my toes are at the end of the shoes, but the fit is perfect. They give a little with wear, but maintain a great, snug fit.
LLBean -- please don't ever change these!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jamick Color Not As Expected
I bought these as a gift and had them shipped to me. I was quite surprised that the gray slippers were actually a light lavender color! Luckily my daughter-in-law liked the color. I ordered a size down as directed online for half sizes. The slippers fit perfectly for her. Had they been for me, they would have been much too narrow. i am very happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lalemant Love these!
These are, hands down, the most incredible slippers I've ever owned. I rarely go barefoot at home, thanks to a very old house with chilly hardwood and tile floors. I've gone through a number of slippers over the years, on all ends of the cost spectrum. So far, none have come close to the comfort and quality of these. The fleece lining is soft, warm without being too hot, and feels luxurious. The fit is perfect (I typically wear and ordered a 10). The sole is perfect for walking around the house or for quick trips to take the dog or trash outside (or, who am I kidding, pick up my kiddo from school!).
My only initial concern, was that the minimal gray color is, most definitely, a lavender. I was caught off-guard when opening them, but, I really love the lavender. The color difference, while substantial, isn't a deal-breaker for me.

These slippers are beautiful and well made. Would have given them 5 stars were it not for the fit. I wear a 9-1/2 and followed the advice given to go half a size down and ordered size 9. The width is fine, but the length is much too short - the backs left painful indentations on my heels. Unfortunately, I had to return them. Didn't exchange them for the next size up, because I'm sure they'll be too big. Ordered a pair for my niece for Christmas, size 8 for her 8-1/2 shoe size. These will probably have to be returned also. Wish these slippers came in half sizes!

These slippers were way too big, even with thick socks. The general appearance of the slippers is they look like they are made out of sueded cardboard. They LOOK stiff and uninviting. While I am on the subject of cardboard, the soles ARE some kind of rubber, however they are completely glued on. It looks cheap and tacky. There is no shaping to the foot anywhere on the slipper, further emphasizing the uncaring, mass-produced look.
I don' t know what's going on with LL Bean these days. The quality is really a problem with a lot of the products.
While I am ranting, I may as well say that there tons more choices in mens slippers. They appear plush and luxurious (such as the elkhide). As usual, the guys get the great slippers and the quality, substantial, good-looking and accurately-sized flannel shirts. We women get the flimsy, princess-seamed and darted-at-the bosom, unusable-pocketed (often placed way above the bust--a mystery to me) frou-frou pretend-flannel. Ok, ok, I haven't personally experienced all of the womens flannel shirts and slippers, so I am probably not being fair.
A compromise I would suggest to LL Bean is to provide women's equivalent sizes in the men's shoes, slippers, and shirts. Might that be a possibility?
If I didn't love Bean's philosophy and products (most of the time) I wouldn't keep coming back. Been a Bean shopper for over 40 years.
Thanks for listening.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nonna51 Pretty darn near perfect except for heel medallion
These are a replacement for the Wicked Good scuffs which took me 15 yrs to wear out. I decided against slippers with shearling lining this time - just did not want the extra warmth. Right out of the box these are almost perfect. I wear a 7 1/2 ww shoe but am able to wear the 8 slipper comfortably after 3 days of constant wear to loosen them up. I would give them 5 stars except for the heel medallion which is made out of the same suede leather as the body. The medallion is thick enough and stiff enough at the edges that it doesn't snuggle into the cushioned lining. It wasn't comfortable under my heel so I snipped it out and now the slippers do rate the 5 stars.
