I bought this turtleneck in the mustard/goldenrod color and I love it! The fit is perfect, great for laying without adding bulk. The neck is soft and comfortable. I think this shirt runs very true to size. After laundering, it kept its shape and did not shrink. Very pleased with this top.

Great layering piece. I am 5'6", 135lbs, 34C and the small size worked perfectly. The sleeves are amply long and I have longish arms. I purchased the gray and brown colors, and I think that they will be great layering pieces. They seem to have a nice drape and look like they are good quality. LLBean please make other colors- a nice royal blue or black with white windowpane design perhaps?

This review is specifically about the striped T--not the solid colored T's. This one is different in two ways: there are no cuffs and its tag-less--meaning no sewn-in tag. Instead, it's stamped onto the shirt and--alas--can be seen from the outside. So anyone who happens to notice, will be able to do some mirror reading through the shirt. This also causes the shirt to be a bit "rumpled" beneath the print. I'm not certain I'll keep the shirt, and wonder whether LL Bean can tell me whether the print will wash off in the laundry? I'd recommend the shirt only to someone who is forewarned of the tag. (I have four of the solid shirts and like them a lot.)

I have this in two colors and wear them every chance I can. Feel great and wash, dry well. Wish I could have some other colors. Only reservation is the cuff on the sleeves which makes it a bit less dressy. It feels so good that I can live with that.

I received the red, white, and black turtlenecks as a Christmas presents. I've worn the red one so far. It layers well and the neck is fitted. Overall, I am happy with this turtleneck.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Happy25y Sizing way off
The sleeves were four inches too long and completely covered my hands. The body of the shirt was extra wide and hung limply around my middle. Too bad, because this is such a pretty shirt. I have two other Signature cotton T-necks in the same size and they are perfect. Someone was asleep at the sewing machine this time. Sorry, but this is a rare disappointment.

Light as a feather is correct. I ordered the XS in barley and it is a wonderful neutral shade matched with my blazers and fleeces but it is very fine lightweight cotton so if you're not fit, you might not want this item. It drapes as opposed to lying flat. The neck is snug and so are the arms but I like turtlenecks this way, I am 5'1" and 100 pounds and in my fifties, but with an average built (just XS - 33-25-34). I take a size 2-4 (XS to S) and really appreciate when people describe their body type because it helps me decide which size to order.
Keep those petite sizes coming - my daughter wears petite and she is 5'4" but at150 lbs she finds petite sizes work better - doesn't give her the long arm/leg length of some regular sizes.

I have been searching for the perfect turtleneck and have finally found it! These t-necks are perfect. They fit nicely at the neck. Not too low and they stay up! The material is wonderful - not too hot and fits snugly. I will definately be buying more!

Rated 5 out of 5 Great turtleneck!
I'm a tiny lady and have a hard time finding turtlenecks that aren't bulky when layered under sweaters. Because of the light, stretchy fabric, this turtleneck is form fitting yet comfortable. I ordered XS in barley, and it's the perfect size. Not only that, the color coordinates with most of my winter wardrobe. I just ordered another in black, so I'm not tempted to wear the barley one every day!
