Fits well, keeps me warm, and is light and soft. It was a little itchy the first time I wore it, but after washing, it was fine....still looked like new. Plan to take it on a ski trip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Shopper1957 The Fabric is Awesome
The wool blend fabric is great, soft and warm, and makes a perfect under layer on cold winter days. However, I'm not wild about the construction: the shoulder straps (which continue across the chest and under the arms) are a stiff scratchy elastic, making it not quite as comfy and cozy undershirt as I would have liked; and the back is lower than the front, which leaves my back more exposed to cold than I would like. But if I wear it backwards it works pretty well. Nevertheless, I still rated the cami as "good" because it's nearly impossible to find wool undershirts, and this one works pretty well, with adjustments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LoneWriter A perfect first layer
While this camisole doesn't cover much, it keeps my torso warm under my clothes. It's skimpy enough to go unnoticed under lightweight sweaters, such as cashmere (as long as the wool isn't too sheer), and adds a welcomed layer of warmth and softness under everything else. It's so soft and stretchy. It makes just as perfect a first layer under workout clothes, wicking moisture away from the skin. I can't wait to see how it performs in warmer months, as I consider merino a year-round textile.
I love my new shirt so much I became paranoid that Bean would sell out, so I came back tonight to order another two. I would love to see lighter colors next season, such as the colors offered in the silk underwear (ivory or mocha).

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hatu48 warm and comfy camisole
Ordered on Dec 21st and received on Dec 24th in time for Christmas; way to go LL Bean! The camisole is lightweight, warm and comfortable, no wool itch, not tight and stays in place when worn. I tried it on and ended up wearing it to bed with my old comfortable pair of LL Bean flannel pj's; perfect for a cold winter's night in Idaho. Washed and hung to dry the next morning, fluffed for a few minutes in the dryer and put it back on under a sweater and wore it all day, both in and out-doors. No shrinkage and since I have recently lost weight was pleased that the measurements shown for the size I ordered offered a great fit. I would order more in different colors because I like the fabric and the added warmth with this cami.

Agree it was pricey, but the quality may out weigh the price. I have sensitive skin and don't find it scratchy at all after washing. Great to tuck in when wearing a flannel shirt. Keeps me warm.

Best camisole ever. Soft, stretchy, nice long length. and nice warmth for my torso for everyday. I am long-waisted and big bony shoulders and the straps and length are great. Is generous sized but I still like my XL. I like both colors and would like it made in white/natural. Beats other much more expensive European brands!

This is the most amazing little garment. It makes all the difference in warming my body core, seems better than the silks. I have zero tolerance for anything scratchy on my skin. I debated whether I should rate this 4, only because the non-adjustable straps are a bit too long. I am 5'10" 124 lbs. 36C and the body of the small is perfect. I have ordered a second one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by tmblr not as warm as it sounds
It's a great base layer, not intrusive, doesn't feel like it's going to stretch out, doesn't get in the way of most tops, and definitely warmer than nothing. I'm 5"4, ~135lbs and a small fits with room to spare.
That being said, it's not quite as warm as I thought it would be. I doubt I'll buy more because of the price, but not going to return this one either.

Love it! It's very lightweight and well constructed so I had a good range of motion without having to fuss with the straps. Wore it hiking on a warm day (80 degrees) under a tee and was very comfortable. Look forward to wearing it in cold weather. Would like to see it it in a lighter color so it could be worn under light colored tops.
