Rated 5 out of 5 by Caro9ine Comfy and Warm
I walk my dog early every AM, so I am always looking for warm stuff for my wardrobe. I have a pair of fleece lined jeans, but wanted something I felt I could wear all day. These fit the bill... very soft and roomy enough to wear another layer under if need be. Like the fabric a lot and glad to have something other than denim. Not as warm as the fleece lined ones, but not stiff either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CommonProse Nice pants--though not my style
I was hopeful that these pants might be good for wearing around the house on a cold day. They would be, except that I'm vain and don't like the fact that these make my pudgy tummy look even pudgier. They're of good quality, though, and well made. If I were skinnier, I would have kept them. They're also a little long on me, but that's not a problem since the pants look nice with the cuff turned up a bit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sporadicshopper Function over form
I have a love/dislike relationship with these pants. First, they are soft and comfortable and super warm. I have worn them on some of our coldest days and have felt quite toasty. From mid-hip down, they look great. I dislike the waistband. I think my hips and waist are fairly proportional, but not according to these pants. While there is an elastic waist, it is quite snug. It is also not at all attractive. I won't tuck a shirt into these pants, so I decided I would rather have the warmth and comfort over a flattering waistband. They are very much function over form.

LL Bean's quality is unmatched. No question. And I LOVE these pants! My problem is the sizing on their pants in general has always been a challenge for me. The waist size has always been too small compared to the rest of the pants, back when I was a size 6 and now in a size 12. If I get a larger size to accommodate the waist, the rest of the pants will be too baggy, but I hate being pinched at the waist! Ah, well. At least these are a stretchy waist.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Cuteandshort Too short for the 4'11"" girl
I am petite in height only and never bought a pair of pants that were too short in my whole life. I have hemmed every pair of pants I have ever worn. These were comfortable but never covered my ankles. Since it was an emergency trip. To snow country I slapped some high boots on and worked it out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Whicker Comfortable, warm cargo pants
Love these flannel lined cargo pants! They feel much lighter than the denim ones, yet they are toasty warm. Perfect for trips or just around the house.

Material is beautiful. Lining warm. Waist is too small and really digs into waist area. I will keep because they are warm but I wll look for an alternate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jcor Perfect pants
These pants are true to size. The material is flexible but still heavy enough to be warm. I wore them outside to an NFL game in December and stayed toasty warm. Just wish they came in other colors because I would buy more.

True to fit for 5'7" 175 lbs in size 16. Slightly roomy in waist, but not bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Springlover2 Ordered 2 size up
I wanted these pants to work for me so badly that I went to the store twice to get the size right. My usual LLBean pants size is 6-8 or Medium. For underwear and sleeping pants, I wear Medium. For perfect fit pants, 6. After reading other reviews, I ordered 8 for these pants. I could fit myself into them, but I could not comfortably sit down, because the leg area was tight. perhaps due to the shape of the pants. But I could not possibly imagine myself wearing a 10. So I went to the store a second time to try size 10, knowing only the unlined version was there. It tuned out that size 10 did not fall off from me, just gave my tommy some extra room, due to the elastic. I figured that the lining would make the waist even smaller. So I ordered 10 lined version. They look just right! As to the style of cargo pants, they may look too casual for some people, but I care more for their 100% cotton and flannel warmth, light color to balance out my all black winter coats and not having any anti-wrinkle treatment (which I think involving some chemicals). I cannot have enough praise for the two big side pockets. They make me feel secure for my keys when siting in the car yet feeling not carrying too many stuff in my pockets. The pants wash well in cold water and line dry. They are warm with one layer under in 30 degree temperature. They are also convinent to wear alone when temperature goes up to near 40. Before, I had to wear two layers for pants in 40 degree, now I am freer in movements. After wearing them for two weeks, my only surprise is that they are heavy! I did not know lined all cotton pants were so heavy. Still I prefer them to layers. I am happy with my purchase.
