Babies grow fast, and my 5-month-old granddaughter outgrew her 3-6 month Columbia jacket. So I found an even better one (size 6-12) from LL Bean! Love the gender-neutral color combination and the tiny reflector on the back. This jacket is so lightweight, yet warm enough for Chicago winters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cobramom bought twice!
I bought this coat two seasons in a row now for my 3 year-old daughter and plan to buy it next year also! It's not too bulky and it is very warm. I do think that the jacket runs big as she is 99th % for height and slim and a 3T fits her perfectly. She normally wears 5T clothing.

Love the coat, not bulky at all yet warm. But the downside is the zipper gets stuck. I've bought and returned 2 coats and they both do it.

I purchased this for my grandson and I was pleased to see that it is very light and warm. I know that this will get a lot of use this winter and will be passed down to others in the family, like most of our LLB products for children. Great little jacket!

by EbilB Great coat! Good value for quality!
This coat is waterproof, windproof, and not too bulky. I love the softness on the inside, which adds a lot of warmth to the hood area, and makes it more bearable when trying to put layers on a fussy, wiggly toddler. My favorite thing about this coat is how warm it is, without having a lot of bulk in the car seat. We bought the size 4T for our 3-year-old. It's a little big on him, but not too big that it looks bad. This coat will last at least 2 winters in our house, and I could not be more pleased with the purchase.

Really nice weight for Midwest winters without being bulky or limiting movement. Great hood/zip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mom2TwinBoys Good quality, slightly big
I actually bought two of these in size 4T for my twins. One is solidly in a 4T and the other is straddling 3T and 4T. This size was a little big for both boys, but better big than too small since it gives them room to grow and potentially use the coats for next year! Both the exterior and interior fabrics look and feel of good quality. Zippers are durable (so far) and easy to use. Sherpa on inside of coats is nice and soft and cozy, but is only in the body and not in the sleeves. We live in Ohio and I think these coats will be just fine for the winters. If it gets to be bitterly cold out and they'll be outdoors for a longer period of time we'll just add under-layers. Coats are light enough for the kids to wear in car seats, which is one of the reasons I went with a lighterweight down, but still warm. Definitely a good purchase for the cost.

by MaineMommabear Best coat yet!
My 2 year old son only wears shorts and t-shirts and it is dipping into the 20's in the morning. He has 3 coats but they were all bulky and he refused to wear any of them. I bought this coat in desperation and he agreed first day to put it on! It is soft and thin-but warm. It is perfect for car seat too. The green is an awesome bright and cheery color and the fleece lining, although only in the hood and torso (not arms), is warm and fuzzy. Worth every dollar. He would fit perfect with a little room in a Carter's 2T size. I bought a 2T and he will make it through the winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FitzgeraldNYC Perfect Jacket for my 6 months old!
I bought this jacket for my 6 month old baby and it is perfect. He is big for his age and the 6-12 month size was perfect to last all winter and into spring. The jacket is lightweight, warm and so cozy and soft on the inside.
