Rated 5 out of 5 by Mainer45 nice jacket
Very comfortable jacket. Woman's size a little small had to exchange it for a mens size. Best reflectivity of any jacket I could find. Used for a walking commute and around a college campus at night. Very pleased!

by VanessaH Love it! But Sizing Seems To Be Wrong
This is a fantastic jacket. Excellent quality and looks great.
However, there is an issue with the sizing. I normally wear a large or size 12. After reading the reviews that said the jacket fits small I decided to order an extra large. Whoa! The XL is small! The XL fits more like a size 10.
I thought that LL Bean sent me the wrong size so I checked the tags and invoice. The invoice was right and the hang tag on the cuff of the jacket said XL. But, the label sewn inside the jacket says L for Large. Something is definitely off here. LL Bean may want to double check the tags and labels and see that they are correct.
I bought this jacket to wear while working out so hopefully I can lose a few pounds beforehand so I can eventually wear it, but if not, it will have to go back. :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by BrendainNC Excellent Quality; Looks Great!
I love this black jacket! I normally wear a 10-12 (I order a medium or large depending on the cut). I ordered a large and it was too tight for my taste; the jacket is very tailored and form-fitted. I exchanged the L jacket for XL and it fits perfect! I ran my first 5K today. The jacket kept me warm without having to bulk up. I wore a polartek shirt underneath. The jacket looks great! I received many compliments. I love the slightly longer tail in the back to cover the behind. I may not be the fastest one out there, but I was one of the best looking! I hope to wear M or L this time next year! Thank you, LLBean, for the excellent quality and easy exchange process!

Glad I took a chance on this jacket. I needed something heavier than the shells and spring jackets I have, but no too bulky. Got tired of layering. Ran in this with just a long sleeve shirt, with slight fleece lining, when it was windy, a little sleety, 25 degrees and it was perfect. I love that the tail covers my behind, although just a little longer would cover it entirely. By the time I showered and got out the door, 45 minutes later, it was dry so I decided to wear it doing errands to continue testing it out. Surprisingly I got two compliments! It's not at boxy as it looks in the picture but it's not a cut, tailored fit that's it's binding. I'm 5'2", 110 lbs and got the medium in case I wanted to wear a fleece shirt on a day when I would be working up a sweat, and it's perfect for me, so perhaps it runs small. Also the cuffs are stretchy fabric, not the open cuff with Velcro, so it's soft and fitted around the wrists. Plenty of pockets, great color. Also, this may seem quirky but, this is a "quiet" jacket. The fabric is softer than I expected. It's not a noisy swishy jacket like a slicker and some shells where all you hear is "zip, zip, zip" with each arm movement. That drives me crazy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AlpineNordicFan Awesome Nordic Jacket!!
I love the fit, feel, and comfort of this jacket. I ski hard (x-c) and this jacket is perfect with some of the LL Bean Merino wool long johns (janes!) underneath. It blocks wind without being at all bulky, and breathes effectively. I normally wear a small (size 4-6), but ordered a Medium so that I could wear a sweater under it if need be. Medium is great for this. Runs pretty true to size. Beautiful color! Highly recommend!

The jacket is of great quality and looks as though it will last a long time. The fabric is stretchy and seems like it will repel water--I haven't been able to test it in snow or rain as of yet. The lining is soft and the longer "tail" is great for my morning jogs. The pockets--well, who would wan't all these pockets? The stretchy, elastane cuffs help keep out the cold. I had to return the Medium as it was too snug. (155 lbs.). I can fit a base layer under it and be quite warm (it's been in the 20s). The temps haven't reached into the teens yet (and I hope they never will), but this will be my go-to jacket for morning jogs and hiking.
