Our comfort ranges for Kids' Outerwear are based on tests that simulate an active 6- to 12-year-old child wearing appropriate layers including long underwear, a fleece layer, pants, wool socks, boots and a wool hat and gloves. When a range is shown, the first temperature indicates the product's comfort rating during light to moderate activity, such as walking at an easy pace. The second temperature shows the comfort rating during moderate activity, such as walking fast.
Many variables affect a child's comfort at any temperature. Please consider your local climate as well as your child's activity level and tolerance of cold conditions when you select Kid's outerwear and footwear.

Strong and breathable, the waterproof TEK2® nylon shell resists scuffing, so it looks good season after season. Fully taped seams ensure stay-dry comfort. Filled with warm 3M™ Thinsulate™ Insulation polyester for a nonbulky fit.
Smooth nylon lining, with fleece on the body and collar for extra warmth and comfort; a fleece chin guard prevents zipper abrasion. Adjustable Velcro®-closure-and-elastic cuffs and inside nylon/spandex cuffs, with thumbholes to keep snow out and lock warmth in. Adjustable hem and powder skirt seal out cold air and moisture. Zip handwarmer pockets have soft-brushed tricot lining. Inside zip pocket, with headphone port for an MP3 player, keeps valuables secure; a stretch mesh goggle pocket prevents scratching.
