Rated 4 out of 5 by ilovebooks Beautiful but Billowy
I ordered this shirt in the rose color and loved everything about it - except the fit. I'm very slender and this shirt was just too billowy for me. The sleeves, in particular, are very wide and the overall look was ill-fitting and sack-like. The foulard print, however, is gorgeous and the shirt is very well made. For reference, I'm 5'5"/105# and ordered the 0 regular. This Signature size usually works for me so I'd say that this shirt - or rather the style - runs large. So disappointed that it didn't work out. Hope you have better luck!

I purchased two of these blouses on sale...in spite of duty and taxes...I chose a size 6 but I might have been better with a size 8 as I do have a bustline and these blouses are close fitting... I shall keep them as I did not wish a blousy look........Lovely fabric, very smart buttons, very nicely made and just a beautiful blouse... also very nice prints in the rose and black pattern...these blouses are different and L.L.Bean proves they are once again superior in taste and clothing..By the way wear this blouse tucked in or loose over your beltline..

It is well made shirt with quality silk, very airy and comfortable. Unfortunately neither the style nor the color fits me. It is best suited for tall and slim person with wide shoulders and full breast. I will have to send it back.

Silk shirt that catches the eye with tiny black mallards and out of the ordinary styling. True to size -sm fits with appropriate drape; I'm usually a size 4 top. Black mallards can come off as navy at times -I think it will make the shirt even more wearable.

Silk is one of the things that L.L. Bean does really well, but unfortunately not too often (or fortunately, for the sake of my bank account). These will sell out quickly. I bought four silk tanks this summer (they're no longer available) and I absolutely love them, so when I saw these I jumped and got four again. Yes, the price is high compared to some of their other products, but you have to consider what you are getting. These shirts combine old-fashioned quality and modern styling. I love the modern collar which really sets them apart. By the way, I ignore the drycleaning proviso and wash L.L. Bean silk shirts myself - it's better for the garment and easier than you would think - just look it up online. And I'm a busy working mother who wouldn't be bothered, if it wasn't. The only thing I'd say against these shirts is that the size 12 is ever so slightly snug on the hips compared to how a 12 usually fits me. It could be the pullover style or the length of the garment, or it could be a reminder to stay on my diet. It doesn't trouble me too much but if it would trouble you, you might want to go up a size.

Really like this blouse. Collar and shoulder styling make it somewhat more unique than a typical silk blouse. Fit is true to size -- not overly large like some other items.

I really, really wanted to love this popover. Unfortunately, the sleeves are much more full then expected. I suspect it is because my arms are considerably shorter than a model's. The next issue I had was the texture and color. Being 100% silk, it is lovely and light and airy. However, the lack of sheen in person combined with the print and collar style makes it look too much "Little House on the Prairie" for my taste. Sadly, it must go back.
