Rated 5 out of 5 by 49er Very nice scarf
Was apprehensive about width, but it wraps doubled nicely around ones neck with very little bulk. Beautiful color combination, lightweight, and drapes well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by N8turelover Nice Scarf!
I had to post this review because reading some of the negative reviews almost made me not purchase this item. It is a great scarf! Very soft and drape-y material. It's long enough to wear in many ways, and wide enough to be worn as a wrap too. I don't get the complaints about it being too wide. It is a "normal" width for this type of scarf. If it was narrower it would seem cheap and not drape as well. The quality of the material is nice and even though it has the fringed end, it has a sewn seam to prevent "endless" unraveling as some cheaper scarves do. I ordered the blue and it's a nice denim looking blue with cream, tan, navy, and dark teal in the pattern. I haven't worn it in very warm weather yet, but it seems like it's very light weight and cool and will be fine even on warmer days.

Needing some color to make a simple dress work for Easter, I ordered the scarf in mauve and blue, the blue as backup. The mauve is perfect and delightfully transforms the plain dress. The scarf is light, airy and drapes nicely; the length and width add versatility in how it can be worn. I don't understand complaints re: the lightly fringed ends?? I sold vintage clothing for years and lots of gorgeous, finely made scarves had this exact fringe. I had planned to return whichever I decided against for Easter, so where is the blue scarf? Around my neck...just couldn't send it back, it's too pretty and adds nice flourish to the jean jacket I'm wearing today.

I like the print on this bayside blue print scarf. The colors and texture make it a great casual denim friendly option. I'm not crazy about how the fringe is finished, but I do find that I wear it often and so far it has held up just fine!

Took this scarf to Ireland and looked great.
Got it in red....stylish. Then, I had to get
a gift for a relative in Germany, so I bought
this scarf in red again. They love scarfs.
I'm pleased with it and got nice complements from several people.

I had looked at this online (and admittedly was influenced by a couple of negative reviews), and had decided against it. But when I saw it in the store, it impressed me, and I'm glad that I bought it. BE AWARE THAT THE HUNTER COLORS IN THE PHOTO ARE UGLY, THE ITEM IS NOT! The colors are a true, deep hunter green, a little of a lighter kelly green, lots of "bright navy," some teal and off-white. It is wide, which I like, and is nicely made as others mention (rolled, stitched seam and a line of stitching above the fringe).

The scarf is nice but I wish it were narrower - the width just bunches around the neck. Half the width would be good. Also, please lose the horrible cumbersome tag. Why would a manufacturer place a large white unsightly tag at the end of a very soft gauzy scarf? Impossible to remove without damage. Having given the negatives, I like the scarf, it matches much of my wardrobe and the pale lilac is flattering next to my skin tone (blonde).

Think these scarves are well made .. the edges are whipped and the fringe has a line of stitching to prevent the fringe from unravelling. Don't know if the line of stitching will hold but its there! Just a sign of something well made..To the women in California who thinks this is not well made...I have several scarves I got in an expensive Paris shop, not a street vendor, that are not edged and the fringe unravels the more you wear them..Must agree am disappointed in the actual colors...very bright online or in the catalogue...but up close & real .. they are very muted...but still pleasing! Got the bright navy & the saltwater blue...and enjoy them both!

This is a cheap scarf. It is low quality. It is something that you would buy for eight dollars at a low-quality market stall. it is hard to know what to wear it with. There is no finish to the fabric. It is quite long and very wide. You ahve to wear it bunched up, like a thick low-end cotton scarf. The ends are fringed, but the fringe is also quite short. The colors are not bright. it looks and feels like you are wearing pajamas around your neck. I just don't like it. It sits on my lamp.

My "bright navy" scarf arrived, lovely and soft, very pliable/easy to work with as far as wearing the scarf in many different styles..the colour is more periwinkle really, with muted shades of beige and white and dots of bright red. I ordered another one in pale lilac..if the budget could stand it I would order all of them as I am a real scarf person! This scarf feels good on, looks good on and packs well. either in purse or case!!I call this a real little gem that completes my wardrobe, and allows my imagination to work for me,as far as styling/matching colours go.Bravo and thank you L.L.Bean!
