Generally I like to wait a bit before reviewing in order to provide wear and tear info but I couldn't wait to review this duvet because we love it so much! We ordered the king size and it fits our comforter (not from LLBean# perfectly. With other duvets we've had extra material at the end but not the case with this one. We did wash prior to use but even right out of the package it was extremely soft and very warm. Definitely don't need another blanket with this duvet. Not really going for the log cabin look but I really like the plaid preppy-ness of it. We're planning to buy a white dust ruffle with white sheets #like the photo) very sharp looking but not too masculine. November 27, 2012

My husband and I just love the set. The colors are beautiful, and it is so soft and warm. I washed all three pieces before using them, dried them on low and they fit perfectly without any shrinkage. I am looking forward to many cold New England nights nestled under my beautiful down comforter!!! October 10, 2012

This plaid reminds me of an L.L.Bean plaid wool blanket we were given many years ago as a wedding gift. It bothered me that someone gave this only 3 stars, because of a sham not being enclosed. That shouldn't affect the review for this very nice comforter cover. December 24, 2011

The Christmas catalog pictures the duvet and two shams. The description of the product includes a description of the sham as well as the duvet. There is no separate listing for the shams in the catalog. I went online and queried shams only to find the buffalo plaid shams offered. So I was very surprised and disappointed to not find the shams in the package with the queen sized duvet. December 8, 2011
