Rated 4 out of 5 by mainerunner Odd fit
These are very nice pants if you are shaped right. I ordered size 4 petite. I am 5'3" and 104 pounds. The pants sit below the waist, which I like, but they are big in the waist, fit well on the hips, and are rather tight over the thigh. I will have to put some darts in the waist band to make them fit, and I wish the legs had a little stretch.
I ordered two colors, and may keep the red-brick pair because it is pleasing. I will have to make alterations, but I got them for a bargain price. The fabric is nice, but I would only recommend these if you have less than a 10" difference between your waist and hips.

I bought three pair of these pants (same size) and returned them on the day UPS delivered them. I didn't like so many aspects of these pants!!! 1.) the color -dark khaki- in hand was nothing like the color shown on my computer monitor. It reminded me of the brown stains my son got on the knees of his white baseball pants when he slid to a base during a game. 2.) the fit through the waist and hips was unflattering and uncomfortable. It felt like the ratio of waist-to-hip measurements was way off. 3.) the length of the leg was almost 3" longer than any other pant I've bought from LLB. 4.) and finally, too much fabric width from the knees down for a bootcut style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Happy25y Very flattering pants
I bought these in russet. The color is beautiful and so is the fabric. I agree with other reviewers that the regular inseam runs long, but I knew that before purchasing. Sent them to the tailor and now they are just fine. I receive compliments whenever I wear them. As usual, excellent LL Bean quality and style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by fialka finally, the LL Bean pants that fit me!
I didn't have any luck with the LL Bean pants - trying different styles and sending them back ( I could buy couple pairs for the returns cost:). Those ones (black and dark russet in size 0) fit like custom made for me! I'm 5'6", athletic build, exact size 2 in Signature line size chart. The pants are mid-rise, length (regular) is perfect with the hills and they are so comfortable. Its great alternative to jeans, and with the long jacket (to cover the rivets) they go as business attire. They shrunk after first wash about 1/4", but after that no shrinkage and colors stay the same. They hold up shape after day of wear, and don't wrinkle too much. I'm ordering khaki and spare pair of black, I'd like to see them in extra colors - loden, gray and/or raising....

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lib8892 tight in thigh
These are tight in the thigh. If you carry weight in your hips and thighs, these are not for you. I sent the first pair back because one side was tighter than the other. I gave this four stars because, while these aren't my comfiest jeans, they are the best looking. I can wear them all day---they are not UNcomfortable. Just tight in thigh. I don't like them well enough that I'll order a pair in a different color---even though they are now $10 cheaper than the pair I have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BeansRegular These Pants were Made for ME
I read all of the reviews and I did not know exactly what to expect, but when they went on sale, I ordered all 3 in my normal Signature size 2. Well, I really lucked out. All three of the pants fit exactly the same, The hips and waist are both a perfect fit, with no gapping or side bulging in sight. The legs are lean and sharply creased and the 100% cotton has a wonderful natural stretch that allows a deep crouch without trouble. I am 5'7", 115lb and the exact measurements of the Signature size 2. My curviness is in my muscular rear (sports) and small waist (but not enough to be like the curvy measurements--enough that some straight cut pants feel tight in the rear), and that is where these pants have their curves. I wore the rust color the day after I received them, with many complements, and the black pair the second day after. Both look great with many earth tone tops and sweaters, even with a work blazer.
Now all that LLBean needs to do is make these wonderful pants in many more colors, like a light gray, deep gray, med.brown, teal, and olive. This classic design can go from work moderately dressy to casual, and if you have a build like mine, will make you look great everywhere.

Rated 2 out of 5 by LuvToWander Funny fit
After reading some of the reviews about the sizing and fit, I ordered several pairs in different sizes and colors hoping one pair would be "the one," but no such luck. There were inconsistencies between the colors and sizes. None of them worked out. Too bad as I liked the fabric and the styling, but just wouldn't work for me. They are all going back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Virginia1962 Did we all get the same pair of pants?
Reading the reviews it would seem no one got the same style pants as the one advertised. I am 5' 6" and a pretty constant size 6. After reading the reviews I went ahead and ordered a size 4 since I ignored this bit of wisdom on the last pair of pants that ran large. I received the pants yesterday and they do not resemble the ones the model is wearing. These are almost a blue/black and the boot cut is very flared which is not a problem for me. The rise is much lower than anticipated but, again, not a problem. These are very attractive pants but I should have stuck with the size 6. Nothing roomy about these, although my husband says they look great and I did try them on after a long day at work and dinner! I am slender build and the pants are lovely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LLBeanOnMe Dark Khaki Petite 4 - Twill Bootcut Pant
These are nice on 5 x 105. There is a bit of excess fabric (roomy) between the belt line and hips, but I like it this way, and I hold all my pants including this with a belt. They FEEL beautiful and I feel comfortable and beautiful in them.. I like the the way the fabric feels on the skin, I like the sharp crease line along the legs. The dark khaki is very versatile for me. For my height the petite length is perfect.. and these points are all good before laundering. These pants are advertised as 100% cotton.. I just LOVE IT when pants are made without Lycra, stretch or polyester. If retains it's shape and beauty after washing/drying cycle - I'll have to get another pair.

While the twill fabric is VERY nice, the fit was way too far off for me. Size 12 waist had a good 6 inches too much, regular length went past my feet about 5 inches, while pants were snug in thigh and butt (but OK). Now I'm 5-foot-6, in good, outdoor-fit shape for my 60ish age, so it's not me. I was hesitant to wash the pants to see about shrinkage (100% cotton) adjusting length and waist, so they're on their way back to LLB.
