My wife gave me this for Christmas 2012. I have never really worn sweaters before. This proved to be the perfect gift. I play golf every weekend of the year. I have been able to wear the sweater and still swing a golf clug without feeling like a polar bear with layers. In 30's and low 40's, I wear a pullover and a short sleeve golf shirt under sweater, perfectly warm even in the wind. The upper 40's or 50's I just wear a golf shirt and sweater. The pockets are worm and the flanel lining is great. This has replaced my coats and wind breakers. I can wear to work or for an evening out. I ordered the XXL tall and it has been a great fit, I did roll the sleave-ends back halfway, looks good. I realize I live in the GA-SC area and we do not have brutal winters, but they are plenty cold enough for me and my sweater. Another fine LLBean product. If lost, destroyed or stolen, I would replace without hesitation.

My 90 year old dad usually has a problem staying warm. I bought him this sweater for Christmas in the charcoal color. I thought it would be warmer than the other sweaters he has since it is lined. I think he has worn it every day since he opened his gift. I just bought him another sweater in the oatmeal color so he can change them out. He just loves his sweater.

This is the greatest sweater of all time, but my wife keeps stealing it. Please, please, please Mr. Bean make one for the ladies so I can get my favorite sweater back. This may be my favorite item from L.L. Bean, and I have been shopping here for many years. This is a classic. My wife comments that the only thing that is comparable to this that you offer for women, is not all wool, not fully lined, and has an utterly useless double zipper adding frustration and complexity to a simple classic design. I love my sweater but you are making an enemy of my wife. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was given an unlined red ragg wool zipped sweater from LL Bean for Christmas. I liked it so much that I went on line to see if the same sweater was available in black or charcoal. I was delighted to find it in charcoal and see that it was lined. It came almost overnight, and now I wear one or the other almost all the time.

I picked this sweater up, when I was returning a Christmas gift that didn't fit. I love the look, feel, and versatility of this sweater. It functions more like a jacket, and you don't have to pull off over your
head. Just one left like this in my size and the oatmeal color is
great, definitely better than the three qtr. cotton zip sweater that I returned, it was cut way to tight in the arms and shoulders. I'm glad
I visited the store, I purchase most of my items online with Bean.

No matter if he's indoors or out, my husband complained he "Couldn't get warm!". Until he wore this sweater. He loves how soft the ragwool and flannel feel against his skin and how warm and comfortable his "new favorite" sweater is.

I sent this jacket to my son-in-law for Christmas and he really liked it. His only problem was keeping my daughter from borrowing it. Thanks LL Bean for making a double hit!

The quality of this sweater is great. Very warm, plush, and thick. It's going back though because it was way too big. I ordered a Small and it fit more like a Large. My husband is a pretty consistent small-medium. Very disappointed. We both really liked this sweater. Too bad it isn't even available in an XS.

My brother was looking for a heavy cardigan and had not worn one before. The catalog appeared in my mailbox and I found the perfect gift. The warmth of wool and the softness of flannel. My brother loved in and others were impressed with it. Thank you!

Very well made, comfortable, and cozy. Deep pockets for two held-hands. Just love wearing it everywhere, the lining makes a warm difference.
