Yet, her feet feel secure and comfortable in daily gym class, as well as throughout the day. She's actually choosing practicality and not switching to her fashionable suede boots after gym. I went to llbean.com and found some that we liked and went to the store in Victor, NY. The salse woman was wonderful! She was super nice and helpful that now we will only buy her shoes at llbean from now on. As far as the fit goes, they are a little tight, but I think with some wear they will loosen up some. My daughter did like them once they are on, but it took a month of wear for them to loosen up enough for my 10 year old to get them on herself. That finally happened and then she went to tighten them and the bungee cord snapped. August 31, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5�by supermom3 good for PE I bought these to be my kindergartner's PE shoes. The only problem we've had with them is that the back heel is floppy so they are hard for her to put on by herself. They also slip off easily while she is playing. I was hoping the elastic cinch would be easier than ties, but she has to pull them so tight, we have to tuck the ends into the lacing. I'm thinking of just taking it out and re-lacing it with shoestrings. August 29, 2012

They are very comfortable and look great. She insist on 1 pair a year of some type of LL Bean slip on for the summer. June 27, 2012

My daughter consistently chose these over any other shoes, for school day and weekend play; I ended up getting two pair so she could alternate. Despite machine washing, they did get grubby; I'd like to see some darker colors. May 16, 2012
