Rated 3 out of 5�by MomforQuality Durable but big My 10-year-old has a 28 inch inseam and a 25-26 inch waist. The waistband cinching helps them to stay on her, and the size 12 pant fits her in length. However, I wish they weren't cut quite so big. She used to be a super slender child, now she's regular-sized with very long legs, but these pants look a bit baggy and big on her. I wish LLBean would offer slim sizes for the tall, thin girls. The quality is great, the fabric is durable, they launder well, and if only the fit were better, I'd buy pairs in every color for my very tall daughter. January 11, 2012

The horse pants were so cute but I wish they came in slim sizes - even with the adjustable waist as small as it would go they just didn't fit right. Very sad to have to return them but I'm afraid by the time the waist fits the length will be too short! August 12, 2011

They look good too - as good as much more expensive pants we have had. We have had several pairs and despite hard use they will be handed down to my younger daughter. January 8, 2011

She likes classic, simple, preppy, rugged type clothes (she wouldn't be caught dead in the stuff with sparkles that they sell for girls at some stores). These are perfect for her, good quality, good fit, and she loves them. August 4, 2010

The pants did shrink in length after two washings, which was a good thing for us, because I would have had to hem them. So count on some shrinkage in the length. My child is 55 inches tall and weighs 88lbs, and the 12 is a perfect fit after washing; length just to the ground in the back. If your child is particularly tall, they may end up a bit short. You wouldn't have to iron them, but they can look a little wrinkled if you don't. We will buy another pair! October 25, 2009

My daughter can't wear jeans to school so when she grabbed these on a weekend I knew they passed her strict standards! August 29, 2009
