Shocked that LL Bean would have such a poor quality offering. These gloves are tearing apart at the seams. I liked them for a month. I will be sending them back.

These glove are descent quality very thin and are warm long as your running or Xc skiing. Cons- the grips on the palms don't work that great and there not water proof

At $50, kind of expensive. The cuff is very snug -- putting them on and off is no a struggle but other styles are easier.
I'm on my second pair -- not because i love them so much -- but because i returned the first pair to Bean's after a seam failed.
The iPhone finger tips work well. Comfortable to wear. They're pretty thin, so don't expect a huge amount a warmth, but sometimes you don't need heavy gloves.

I love SportHill wintersport pants made of polypropylene. I thought these gloves would prove just as wonderful. I bought a size larger to be able to fit glove liners in them. As is, the size up was a regular fit--would definitely recommend doing this. Not able to squeeze in a liner. The gloves are warm down to 40*F but they are too thin for much colder unless you are using these for winter sports in which case your hands may generate the necessary heat. Jogging and biking are not some of these sports.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ShaKaRoo Light weight but mighty
I was fooled when I first received these gloves. How could something so light weight be warm. TO MY SURPRISE that is exactly what they are. It has been down in the 20's here in PA first thing in the mornings when I need to feed the outside animals. These gloves are warm as toast, easy on hand movements and they grip anything I try to pick up. These are wonderful. A little pricey but well worth it. They are not water proof though so be advised of this. But if you want light weight, easy movements with no binding and warm, warm, warm. Size was true I take a small.

by Pedologist2 Disappointed in Quality
I was very excited to see these gloves for sale by L.L. Bean as I like to go for long walks/jogs on cold weather days and use my smartphone jogging app to see how far I've gone and what my pace is. With most gloves you have to take them off to use a touch screen on your phone.
First the good part. The "Tech-Touch pointer fingers" (on thumb and index finger) work well on my smartphone. It takes a little practice to learn how to center the glove at the appropriate point on the screen, but it can be done, and still keep your hands warm.
Now, the bad part. The seam on the left index finger ripped out the first time I wore the gloves. I heard it rip when I put the gloves on but didn't see the rip until I got back from my walk. I have very large hands, but well within the limits of L.L. Bean's glove sizing chart for XL. These gloves were hard to get on, and once on, they fit very snugly, but not so snug as to be uncomfortable. I thought they were purposely designed to fit snugly because they are intended to be used for athletic activities.
If the seams could be better made I think these could be great gloves. I think they breathe well enough (even in the right hand glove without a hole) to keep your hands from getting too sweaty yet protect you from wind and cold.
I hate returning stuff but this item has to go back.
