Product Details

  • A modern-day reinterpretation of a classic catalog cover
  • Stretched canvas print will make a charming addition to any room
  • Arrives ready to hang
  • Made in the USA

To celebrate the timelessness of L.L.Bean and mark our 100th anniversary, we recreated our popular 1956 catalog cover with photographer Randal Ford, renowned for creating richly detailed images.

Great time and attention was paid to every detail from securing the right props and wardrobe to getting precisely the right light. We pulled clothing from our archives as well as our new Signature collection and shot the photo at Acadia National Park, an iconic Maine locale known for its picturesque outdoor backdrops.

Once the shoot was completed, Mr. Ford finessed the final image using the Photoshop editing program. The artwork was then reproduced in a San Diego, California, studio utilizing the giclee printing method for optimum clarity, smooth tones and rich colors. The resulting museum-quality printed canvas is then hand-stretched over an all-natural wood frame. Measures 18" x 24" and arrives ready to hang. Made in USA.
