I bought it because I was looking for an all-cotton (no nylon/polyester, which I have a sensitivity to) mattress pad and it was the ONLY one I could find! I hope LLBean never stops making this. Rated 5 out of 5�by agressive Down-Filled Mattress Pad This mattress pad is heavenly warm and soft. We like to keep our bedroom on the cool side, with windows slightly open. This pad, with a down comforter is an incredible combination. I don't know why we waited until now to get it. Higly recommended!!! November 4, 2009

I don't know how something filled with feathers could possibly be too firm, but it is and I had trouble sleeping. It was not good for my back. Maybe it will soften up a bit with use, but right now I'm back to my old mattress cover. I'll try it again another time. August 3, 2009

Rated 5 out of 5�by FieldTesterSimon A great alternative to a feather bed. This mattress pad offers a decent alternative to the feather bed offered (though not as thick/plush of course). I am currently using it, and don't find it too hot (late spring) and have had no problems with feathers escaping or poking. I'm a little anxious about cleaning it though. I like to periodically clean the mattress pad and forgot about the effort required when dealing with down (sending out or laundry mats). Consider that, but you should be happy. May 20, 2009
