Rated 3 out of 5 by DlgDan nice fleece but cut a little odd
My wife bought me this in medium. I'm 5'8" 155lbs and LL Bean has usually fit me well. The first one felt tight around my right shoulder and armpit, like it was about 1/2-1 inch too small in the upper sleeve or the back piece. After trying it for a few days I decided the tight feel was very annoying and sent it back assuming it was a production variation. Sadly the second fleece has the same problem. Trying to decide if I should try a size large or go to brand X. Otherwise the fleece has a very nice feel and is about the weight I want for chilly mornings in the house or under a jacket for walking the dog on a colder day. And I have had good durability from LL Bean products. I would only recommend to a friend with the warning of my fit concerns. Think I'll try a large.

Rated 4 out of 5 by scarletkr Pls bring back Spruce Heather
This is a fantastic, warm jacket that isn't too heavy and looks fantastic on my husband, the only thing I'm sorry for is I can't buy a small in Spruce Heather, for myself! That is the best color LL Bean has ever come up with, I hope you manufacture it again...

Rated 1 out of 5 by Brierpatch1 Way Too Small & Too Short!!!
I have purchased and worn XLT size LL Bean shirts, vests, and other clothing for years. I still wear them and prefer them to other brands. So, I was very excited to receive this beautiful fleece jacket for Christmas.
I was dismayed to find that it didn't come anywhere near fitting! In discussing this with customer service they suggested that I try the next larger size. I did. It came and was only marginally larger and was still too tight and too short.

Rated 4 out of 5 by xcsteve LLBean-Still bringing it !
I find the fit (medium) to be good for me but I'm built like a world class marathoner (6'2" 150lbs.) I'm really glad LL Bean brought back the heather color for trail model fleece as it doesn't show lint. I never buy fleece in black or navy for this reason. I don't like the elastic cord in the waistline. It won't last. Would much prefer one made from flat tape that pulls from both sides. I'd also like to see piping on the sleeve ends and around the collar come back, it would give it a classier look. Overall, I like the clean design and understated look of this fleece.

Rated 1 out of 5 Not L.L.Bean Quality
Got this for Xmas gift. Very disappointed in the quality. Not up to LLBean standards. Material was very thin. Lots of loose threads on inside where seams were sewn together. The zipper edge on the inside was not finished, no sewing, no tape, extremely rough. Certainly not worth the premium price LLBean charges for it. I wear a large size. Have bought shirts, sweaters and other jackets from LLBean in the past. All have fit as expected until I got this jacket. It is tight across the chest. An XL would probably fit better, but it's not worth the hassle of returning a "gift" to get a larger size. This is one item you might want to try on in a store before buying or just purchase something else instead. Very disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by OldSchool Way Too Small
I have shopped through Bean for decades and have found that jackets, shirts, and vests have fit reliably throughout most that time. However, these jackets run VERY small. I ordered two larges to be careful. I should have ordered a large and extra large. The large is quite snug and really a medium. What is disappointing is I already own a number of older LL Bean jackets in size large, including Polartec ones and they fit fine. These aren't the first items with which I have had a sizing issue. While, of course I will always order from Bean, I won't be able to rely on sizing to be consistent. (As an example: I ordered a large mini-waffle knit shirt as well and it fits quite well).

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tibber Cut very thin
The cut is tapered around the waist not for the mature male as many of my peers are.

Rated 2 out of 5 by PrairieTrout Disappointed
I have an older version of this jacket, which I love. I have worn the older version of this jacket for several years at work and play and it has held up great, but was starting to show its age. I ordered a new one about six months ago and I am disappointed. The sleeves are way too long and hang almost to my knuckles. The sleeves do not have elastic at the cuffs, which the older version had and keeps the sleeves from falling too far down or riding up. The jacket is also slightly fitted, which I do not like and I don't think was specified in the product description at the time. And, the fabric feels thinner. I wish I would have returned it.

Rated 4 out of 5 fitted jacket
This is a athletic fit jacket that is a great base layer. Really tight in the chest....shows off my huge pecks..
