Rated 5 out of 5 by HappyWifeLLBean Tall size meets the need of tall husband
Ordered an XL Tall for my 220lb, 6'9" husband. Shopping is usually the worst chore for a man of his size but this jacket fit perfectly in BOTH the arms and the body length. Great grey color that can either be casual or dressed up. Water-resistant, warm, and heavy. Nice that it comes apart too for two great-fitting jackets. Very happy with this order and will order their men's tall items again!

I have had this jacket for two or three years and consistently get compliments on it (I bought the jacket back when it came in a really great blue color). I am only very recently having problems with the waterproof (or water resistant) aspect of the jacket. What am I supposed to do? Is there some recommended treatment? I have only needed to wash the jacket once and followed the care instructions inside-it washed great also except I wonder if washing changed the water proofing. The jacket is in great condition otherwise. Any suggestions?

My husband really likes his new jacket. He find it much lighter than his wool coat. I really wished they had one lining that was filled with down. It has a lot of pockets.

"Smart" looking coat. The fit matches up very well with the sizing chart. Very versitle for all kinds of coat weather. Nice length, will not get "hung up" in tight places: Car, elevator etc. Plenty of room for a nice fluffy scarf even with hood in place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Billy4Eyes GREAT MULTIPLE USE JACKET
I bought this for an upcoming trip to cover a wide temperature range with possible rain. From examining it I believe it will handle everything from winter to warm to wet depending on how it is set up. I have recently lost a lot of weight due to surgery and was not sure if I wanted a L or an XL. Finally ordered a L which is my new shirt size and it fit perfectly. Also looks good and my wife likes it which is important. She says it is dressier than the hunting coats I usually wear. Looking forward to getting a lot of wear out of it.

I just received this jacket 4 days ago. I ordered the Extra Large Tall because I'm 6' 7" and 220lbs. It fits fine in the shoulders but seems to be very baggy around the center. I can certainly wear a thick sweater or sweat shirt underneath if needed. I wear a 44 extra long athletic cut suit. I think if I get the large extra long it won't fit in the shoulders but it would be less baggy. Conclusion: I plan on sticking with the one I ordered. The hood surprised me. It feels like a hood flap. It has no insulation which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, the quality is excellent. This jacket is replacing my 12 year old GORE-TEX LL Bean jacket which kept me very warm with -25 wind chills.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Chifrank All season 3 in 1 Jacket
As I reviewed the various offerings online, I liked the product. Upon delivery, my initial reaction to seeing the jacket was, 'perfect'. The color(s), construction, fit, and thoughtfulness that went into its manufacture met all my expectations. In other words, the delivered item was all I had imagined it to be. My only 'dry run' can attest to it's warmth. I can't wait until the fall/winter and real-time usage is required.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RobMV03 Great Jacket - Size Runs Big
Love the jacket. The outside shell is nice, and perfect by itself for a typical Spring or Fall rainy day, and kept me completely dry underneath (although it may be a little too warm for summer rain). The drawstring waist was a surprise, but a welcome one for rainy windy days. The inside shell is perfect for cool Spring or Fall days (as I write this, I'm wearing it on my train to work and am very comfortable with it unzipped on a 55 degree day). I have yet to wear the whole coat together as one piece yet, but am sure it will keep me warm down to the advertised temperature.
My only complaint is that at 6' tall and 185lbs, I typically wear a size large, and thought by reading the sizing chart, a large would fit me, but when it arrived it was too big. However the exchange was simple and pain free, and within a week of mailing my return I had a medium that was a much better fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 Great design everyone should copy immediately
First, I'm the guy they make medium clothes for. 5'8", 165 lbs., 40-inch chest. I had to send the medium back and get the small, which fits great.
It might be just a tad boxy, with no tailoring anywhere between the arm and the bottom hem, but that's pretty minor.
Otherwise, it's a beautiful and very versatile coat. I was looking for something to fit train commuter life in Boston, and this is great. It looks almost like an overcoat, but is totally waterproof, has a great detachable hood (more coats [that aren't parkas or plastic rain slickers] with hoods, please), and a nice liner. Each piece can be worn separately or together. It's warm without being bulky, encumbering movement, or making the noise most nylon shells make. A nice array of nicely-sized zippered pockets inside and out of both pieces, as well as the button-flap pockets on the outside of the shell. The hood was a really big feature for me because umbrellas are pretty useless in Boston's wind. Other than the two nitpick things I mentioned at first, this is exactly what I wanted and nobody else anywhere seemed to make anything like it. I hope this trend spreads.
