After about a week of light use (i.e. the office), the stitching on the belt side of the keeper started to come loose. The stitching all around the keeper seems to be sewn with a single thread, so this is a problem. I've repaired it myself with a needle and thread, but expect better quality for a $50 belt.
The leather quality is OK, but not as nice as some of the other bridle leather I've handled (e.g. F_____ luggage straps). Also, the surface of the leather on the inside of the belt is finished roughly.
Considering returning, but not sure if it's worth the extra shipping charges. For now, I will try to make it work, but I'm not satisfied.

I bought this for myself to wear with jeans and like it very much. I do think the price is too high, but with that I get LLBean quality so the cost is worth it.

I have looked for one of these for a while, but out of my size/color. This is a fine belt, no question. I like black (and brass, but it comes only in nickel, which is fine). The leather is very good. The construction is US, which is important to me; However my last one seemed more substantial,, with long-wise oversewing, and in particular metal plates and rivets on either side of the buckle for long-term wear. Have to see how the sewn-punches used instead hold up. Best case, this is a sleek and modern update. I'll wait and see; my older friend has improved with age, and I hope this one does too.

I like the weathered look to the buckle. Got this in black. I received exactly just what I expected. The leather has some thickness!
