I liked the fabric. It is thin and light but that is what I want in a summer dress. I like the color and print. I like the length of the dress. It hits me just above the knee. Now for my dislikes. The band falls in an odd place, too low below the bust but too high for the waist. It also doesn't fit straight horizontally and makes the front of the dress appear shorter. I kept wanting to pull it up or down for better comfort. The band also has elastic in the top and bottom seams that makes it a bit itchy. The neckline is also too low for me. I could wear a cami under it but that defeats the purpose of a light summer dress.

I can't believe this dress had such good reviews because the fabric is so thin and cheap-feeling. I am so disappointed in the fabrics these days. It seems like every company has gone cheap! This dress is so thin and flimsy, that it reminds me of something you'd get from a cheap discount store. Definitely not the quality I expect from L L Bean. I am returning it.

I love the dress, the cut and the color, however, the fabric is quite thin and revealing (pantylines, etc). Lastly, there are some discolorations on the chest area of the dress making it look stained. Hubby said it looked like toothpaste on the chest. Sadly, I'll be returning it.

I purchased this dress in the dark blue size medium: the fit was perfect, the dress was nice quality and washed well. I liked it so much I purchased the same in the coral, size medium: this dress was huge and had to go back. I am not sure if the dress was mislabeled or if the sizing is just wonky. I am normally a medium in Bean clothes. The dress is great but it is a pain to have to send it back and try a small when the first medium fit so well.

I have this dress in one of last year's colors, and love its lightweight comfort. I receive many compliments when I wear it, even with my slightly lumpy 50-year old body. I normally wear a size 12 on my 5"6" 165-lb frame, and the large looks good on me. Easy to dress up or down, and extremely comfortable. As others have noted, the neckline is a bit plungy, but you wear a cami under it if that bothers you. I liked it so much that I ordered another this year, in blue pine -- hoping for the muted bluey-green shown on the website and in the catalog. To my disappointment (but perhaps to others' delight), it was more of a bright turquoise (closer to the blue pine color shown for the geo print version). They tell me they are changing the color in their catalog and online, which is helpful but, until they do, know that the blue pine solid is really quite a bright turquoisey aqua. Other than the color being not what I expected, I highly recommend this dress.

CyclinMama Love this dress so much I got another!
I love this dress - it looks great pulled from my bag with a little shake, never wrinkles, has an easygoing length, and I love the prints. My only complaint is that the neckline is pretty low, but I just wear a cami underneath at work and so that's no biggie.
Super flattering, hides just enough tummy :) A perfect summer dress for concerts, work (I pair it with a blazer), BBQs, whatever!

This is the first dress I have purchased from LL Bean and it certainly met my high expectations. The dark indigo print is very pretty, and the material moves and flows gracefully. The size chart is very accurate. I bought the fine gauge cardigan in cornflower blue to top off the look.

I just received this dress in the aqua print and it fits perfectly, looks great and is super comfy. I'm a Petite Medium, 5'4" and usually wear a 10 Petite. The Petite Medium should fit if you're an 8P or 10P. I did refer to the sizing chart and felt that helpful in deciding on the size. This is the perfect dress for summer and I plan to wear it on vacation. I immediately ordered the coral print with the 10% promotion.

This dress was exactly what I expected - lightweight, great fit and priced within my budget - I love it! I'm so glad LL Bean has revived dresses...there were a few years where only a few dresses offered.

The fabric is very thin, and washed out.
The cut is much tighter than most of LL Bean's clothes.
Very disappointed and will be sending this back.
