Rated 5 out of 5 by dogged1 Warm and Toasty...and Pretty, Too!
I bought two of these (one is on back-order) to use as a layer because I am outside in this frigid weather a lot. In the spring, they can be used as a jacket alone. These are super-warm and the Polartec material is substantial without being too weighty. The material is flexible and moves with me. It washed and dried well according to directions, retaining its shape and beautiful color. It is a flattering cut, skimming feminine curves and falling at the hip. I even got compliments on it, when all I wanted was to stay warm. I am very happy with my purchase!

I love everything about these jackets from their warmth to their zippered pockets. I took the Forest Fern color with me on my hiking trip to Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado this summer, and it kept me warm at elevation and visible to my family while on forested trails. It is perfect for layering both over light pieces and under the waterproof rain jacket I carried for when the mountain weather became tempermental. I've seen complaints on other reviews about the jacket being roomy in the chest area, but as someone who measures as 38C, you'll see no such comments from me. In addition to the Forest Fern color, I now own jackets in black, grey, lilac, and daylily (a great color for visibility while jogging or hiking, too, as it is very bright). I'm tempted by the teal, and if a pink jacket were to become available, I'd probably snatch that one up, too. Well done, L.L. Bean!

Rated 1 out of 5 by jeffsdate What the H happened to the fit of these?
I have two of these already and LIVE in them all winter long. (One of them is at least 4 years old.) I ordered the gray in my usual size a few weeks ago and it was tight in the hips and HUGE and poufy in the bust area -- as others have noted. Dolly Parton, anyone? I can't imagine whom these would fit!

First ....I have purchased several fleece items from LL Bean over the years with total satisfaction. Their fleece is great!
NOT this item! I bought this in the gorgeous color Daylily. I like the fit and the look of this jacket. I've worn it twice and washed it twice.
This jacket STILL sheds HORRIBLY!! Worse than my cat!
The orange fleece fuzzies and fibers is all over my car seat. It has gotten all over my clothing so badly that I have to carry my lint roller. I've cleaned my car seat, but it is still showing up on my clothes.
Both aggravated and bummed about this purchase. Also inconsistent sizing lately and cost of returns, I hesitate to make future purchases. Sorry Bean ... not a happy customer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by GratefulWife Warm coat, but really saggy-chested
Several reviewers complained that this jacket was large across the chest, but I figured they were probably wrong, since L.L.Bean has a reputation for well-designed merchandise.
Sadly, when I received this item (and also the Trail Model drawcord jacket), I was disappointed to discover that they were each so roomy across my chest that I looked like a saggy elephant. Even my husband thought the same.
(On a positive note, I could tell as soon as I put this jacket on that it was WARM, which was exactly what I was hoping for, since I work in a warehouse.)
Everywhere else--shoulders, arms, waist, length--the jacket fit perfectly. But since I do not care to go out in public looking like a half-deflated balloon across the chest, I am sadly and still coldly returning it.

My jacket arrived today, FAST and PERFECT!! I am truly happy with my purchase and this jacket is great for the price. Color couldn't be prettier (Ceyanne) and the jacket is a very substantial weight. I normally wear a 2x or 3x, depending on the manufacturer, but ordered a 3x just in case and it fits just perfect - all over. I can't wait for warmer weather to shed the heavy coats and enjoy this jacket. Probably will wear it for extra warmth under a coat or even around indoors until Spring does arrive. You can't miss with this one!!

I ordered this jacket in Ruby Coral...I was expecting a raspberry color but this color is bright...pretty, but bright !
The jacket fits great...not huge in the bust like some reviewers have reported...no pilling either...it's very comfortable, warm & flattering. I'll be ordering another in gray soon.

I ordered the Petite Large (I'm 5'3" 145 lbs.) It's looser than I thought it would be. I can fit a base layer and another thin layer under it. The sleeves are a little too long. Otherwise, I'm happy with the fleece.

I wouldn't have kept it at full price because of the Cons

Rated 5 out of 5 by Flashy1 Great little jacket
The polartec 200 really makes this jacket warm. In 30 degree weather, this little jacket is perfect. Even when wearing short sleeves underneath, I stay warm and cannot feel a draft as with other jackets. I love the zip pockets, as I like to bring my cell phone when I walk my dog and the pockets provide extra security. I am 5'3" and 110 pounds and bought the XS. Plenty of room still to layer if needed. The sleeves are a little long and I personally prefer elastic at the sleeves, but overall love this fleece jacket
