These lightweight pants are cozy-fit and warm under my corduroy (or other) pants. Great winter-wear, indoor and outdoor!

These pants are are exactly what LL Bean is telling you. They wick the moisture away from your body when you exercise, or work outside. The fit is great and the waistband does not bind!

I ordered these tights to replace a pair of battered, ripped silk ones I used for skiing and cold winter weather. Sadly, when I wore these LLBean tights for the first time while hiking in Glacier I was sorely disappointed. They chaffed my skin above my knees so badly that it took almost a week for the roughness to disappear. The fabric is rough to the feel, not smooth like silk, which I didn't think would matter, but apparently it does. I took the tights off when I got hot, so I don't think it was heat that caused the chaffing. Besides which, I often get hot while cross-country skiing and wouldn't be able to take them off in that situation. I guess I can still return them, since I'm dealing with LLBean :-), but I hate to have to do that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by internetshopper454 Great to use as pj pants
They fit well, are very comfortable, wash and dry well with no shrinkage. Plenty of length to them as well. I like them as pajama pants and that's why I bought them.

Some reviewers complain that these are too short. I am 5'9", 150 lbs and they are long enough for me and felt good next to my skin. I washed them (cold), hung to dry, and they didn't shrink. I bought them for a hiking trip in Maine later this year so haven't field tested them yet. It's still summer where I am.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Huierre Warm and lightweight
These are exactly what I was looking for: a warm, breathable, comfortable lightweight layer that would hold up better and not shred like the silks. I have heavier long johns for real cold, but fall and spring need a lighter layer in the Northwest. I read the other reviews and ordered a small, instead of a medium. That was good advice that I will now pass on to you.

Just gearing up for next winter season. Spring has sprung here in the South so I just tried them on to make sure they fit. I'll be saving them till fall/winter season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SuseB more than i had expected
I remember as a child wearing "long johns" that became wet, smelly, heavy during snow activities. And that, more or less, was what i expected. HOWEVER, the LL Bean stretch layer lightweight pants I recently purchased are completely the opposite -- they DIDN'T get wet, nor heavy nor smell after wearing them -- in the snow-- under my jeans. They were dry and light. They kept me dry and warm. I wish I had purchased two pair!

Rated 3 out of 5 by ggfdd A little short
These are heavier than expected so they do not lay as well as hoped under jeans and a little short on m y 5'7" height, but not so much that socks do not cover. Will keep, but wish the were another inch or two longer and a little lighter weight so they laid smoother under pants....but kept me warm in 30-40 degrees

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nwdogger Warm, midweight long underwear
I needed some long underwear for working outside during winter. When it gets really cold, I needed them to base layer under my snowmobile suit. I have found that silk underwear is thin enough to wear under my clothing, but is not sturdy enough to take rubbing from my work clothes. The Power Dry Stretch base layer is thin enough to wear under loose clothing, yet the material is sturdy. I've used and washed this one for over 1 month now and they are holding up very well. The weight is equivalent to mid weight silk. They are soft. They do have a seam on the inside and outside of the legs. Legs end with a hem. Waistband is 1inch elastic.
