Rated 4 out of 5 by MarinaMama Didn't like fabric feel
It's Polartec so it has to be good, and if it had been a soft fleece I'd have liked it, but I didn't like the feel of this fabric so I didn't keep it.
The cut is cute, but I needed a smaller size to really judge the fit. I got a medium (my size in most Bean shirts), but for a base layer I needed a small.

I bought this base layer for snowmobiling, skiing and other cold outdoor activities. It fits great, wicks away moisture and keeps me warm! I would highly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by HeatherOfTheHills Great for outdoor activities in cold temps
I bought this specifically to wear as a base layer while running during the winter months. Over time, I have learned that it works best as a base layer when it's below freezing - at temps much above freezing, it becomes too hot when I have a windbreaker layered over top of it. (I've never tried wearing it just by itself during outdoor activity.) For temps 30 and below, though, it's wonderful. I would say it does a good job of wicking moisture away. I sweat a lot when I run, and the shirt itself is usually damp when I'm done, but I, myself, never feel wet (which is important when it's cold). After I've finished my run, though, and my body temp starts to return to normal, the dampness of the shirt does start to become apparent, so I get out of my running clothes quickly. Thumbholes are placed correctly, and the construction is durable. I've washed this many times, and it's held up well. It also has a some nice detailing, such as gussets in the armpit area, as well as at the waistline, so it doesn't bind or feel tight at all. It's hard to get body odor out of it, though - mine has a permanent smell, now - but I think that might just be my body chemistry. Anything that I buy that's "antimicrobial" always gets funky smelling when I sweat (too much information, maybe, but someone might find this to be useful). Overall, I am very impressed with this for a lightweight base layer, and it definitely keeps me warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cadylee59 Love this shirt
This is a great shirt. In the winter I spend a lot of time outdoors in the cold. I layer it under a thermal long sleeve shirt and it adds warmth without bulk. Sleeve length is good and I love the thumb holes. The length is also good. I like this shirt so much that I just ordered another one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by cmmOregon LONG- SLEEVE !!!!
This base-layer crew does NOT hold up against the one you have carried for YEARS !! It's a bit TOO long, the sleeves are WAY TOO LONG, and it does not glide nicely under sweaters and fleece tops !
A return to your old women's base-layer crew would be most welcomed . . .
