Very excited to receive these gloves and they quickly disappointed. Stitching came apart in two different places after a couple times duck hunting, One place on each glove (left and right) at different places on the glove. Left glove on the back near the pinky knuckle and the right glove on the point of the index finger. Not impressed and returned for a refund.

The gloves run very small and a portion of the material on the back of one glove was not sewn together. I take a M/L glove and the large I ordered was very tight, tight gloves equal cold hands while duck hunting. The gloves have a pocket on the back of the gauntlet for a heat pack, it should be on the back of the hand to do any good keeping hands warm. The lining and the outer glove don't match! When the glove was pulled fully on the outer finger portion only came up to the second joint of my fingers.
I love L.L. Bean but this time someone dropped the ball as this glove has multiple problems.

Bought these for an Arkansas duck hunting trip. Most days never got above freezing and had my gloves in and out of the water throughout day. Hands were always dry and warm. Not too bulky and was able to handle firearm easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by irishjbs great gloves but....
i have only used the gloves twice. they are warm, great features and a great price. i like the leather on the palms, it should make the gloves last longer. also the gloves come high on the wrist with quick string closer.
cons-i wear xl in gloves and they usually have some extra space. these run a little small. xl left me no extra space.
the heater pack insert is placed in the wrist area? why not above the knuckles.
overall, great glove

These were purchased for my grandson and he loves them. He went hunting this morning and they kept his hands warm.
