Rated 5 out of 5 by Longtime Perfect little pack
I ... LOVE ....this ... little Pack! It is small and that's wonderful. I was looking for a pack that was small enough to wear for hours and would carry an anorak, water bottle, sunglasses, hat, wallet and phone. This is it! I can wear it on a casual walk/hike on a swamp boardwalk, to the acquarium, or tour of a WWII ship and my hands are free. So much nicer than a purse. It very light and has padded straps and a grab handle. I can put my wallet and phone in the inside pocket purse, roll up my nylon jacket and it all fits.

At first I thought this would work but ended up returning it. It is really too small and does not expand at all. Because it is so small and sits relatively high, the chest and waist strap don't really do much good. Seemed to be made well and might be good for a younger person but not for an adult.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TrueBlue12 Great size and style
I was looking for a small backpack to use while on short hikes or running errands on my bike. The size of this pack is perfect for those activities, and I love the styling. Also, while the pack is not advertised as waterproof, I recently took a two-hour hike in light rain and the items in my pack remained dry.
Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase, but there are two things that I wish were different. The pack does not have a small pocket for a cellphone, money, etc. that is easily accessible. It does include a separate pouch, but it falls down into the bag and you have to root around for it. Also, I wish it were just a bit wider to accommodate a thin notebook.
Overall, though, I really like the pack, and am glad I purchased it!

Like a lot of other reviewers, I would like this pack to be a couple of inches deeper. I'll compare it to the stowaway. This one has padding on the back, so it has more structure. But it has limited space. The stowaway has no structure, so it can fold up nicely (hence the name). And the stowaway holds so much more. So if you are looking a small pack with padding and structure, this pack will be fine. If you want a small pack that carries a surprising amount, go for the stowaway.

I bought this pack to take on day hikes and bike rides and it is perfect! When I first received it in the mail I had to laugh because it is so small, thin, and light weight. But it really fits everything I need when heading out for the day. I was worried about the size when purchasing this because when looking for a bigger pack my torso and waist were always too small, but this pack fits perfect! When on a bike ride with my daughter she didn't want to wear her sweatshirt anymore, and I was able to tie it around an outside loop so it wouldn't get caught in her wheels. I have used this pack multiple times already and love it.

I purchased the teal pack for a SW hiking trip. My other packs were too big for the daily hiking in the hot heat we had planned. This pack was perfect. The fit is for a woman with comfortable chest and waist straps. It stayed in place as I hiked up and over many rocks. It holds a lot for it's size. I packed (2) 24 oz water bottles and one 32 oz bottle in the main part along with a rain jacket, baseball hat, and food. The pack comes with a large zip pouch which carried my camera, pocket knife, small flashlight and ID. I placed the pouch in the outside pocket of the pack and secured it with the interlocking plastic clip. The inside is insulated and kept my drinks cold for about 3 hours in the desert heat. I am 5'3"" and 110 lbs- I love this back pack.

I laughed when I go this tiny thing. I can hardly fit my Canon SLR camera in there, and consequently have no room for a water bottle and my bean fitness fleece. I will carry the camera separately, but find it slightly misleading to say it has a depth of 5 inches. It has an interior size of exactly by 8 by 3 inches. Great for anyone carrying the contents of a small purse, small water bottle and very light jacket. Snack maybe? It would be perfect with a slightly larger interior, actually 5 inches by 10 inches, as the design itself is great. I like the insert for your phone and wallet or a rain shell. Adjustable straps and material are great. It does have a cute style factor. Note that the 'embroidery' is printed on and that was a disappointment.

Jerseybean Day Hiking Expandable Essential
Anyone familiar w/backpacks and how to utilize/improvise features to carry even more than a pack claims to hold, will find this pack just the ticket for day hikes.
I've used it for snowshoeing as well. With bungees attached, carabiners, velcro strips...this pack holds medical necessities, phone, flashlight, changes of socks & underwear, spare shirt & rain slicker, granola bars, apple...all inside! And a 2qt. platypus w/drinking tube in outside pocket. Belt loops & bungees carry spare wind challenger jacket, hat, camera, gps, safety whistles, walkie talkie and whatever else I may think of in future.
Basically, if you can carry the weight, it can hold almost whatever else you can pile onto/or attach to it!! I love it!!!! And I'm almost never aware I'm wearing it. It's that comfy & molds to my back. Near infinite adjustments, too. If it ever wears out...I'm getting another ASAP!

Mostly sure I'm keeping this one. The "frame size" of this is very good for a petite, narrow-shouldered woman. The chest strap IS ADJUSTABLE so it doesn't have to go right across your boobs. Combined with the lower belly strap, it should prove very stable (for jogging). It is light-weight, but fairly bulky with all of it's padding (which I may end up being thankful for when I start to use it). The capacity is not as much as I'd hoped, but I can probably make it work.
