I bought this sweater in the attractive tweedy brown in XL and it fits perfectly! I'm 5'5" and normally wear a size 16 or 18. I love the longer length and the ribbing on the bottom hem and sleeves. The detailing at the back creates a flattering fit. As other reviewers have said, it's cozy without being heavy since it's a good-quality cotton fabric. This versatile cardigan really is an all-season garment. I can wear it under a coat in winter or pull it on for a cool summer's evening. I was disappointed that the blue colour was sold out in my size. I very much want to order it to wear with jeans. Please restock!

I just wore this sweater for the first time today and I love it!
The only color left in an XL was the blue so I bought it. The color, fit, style, comfort and quality of this sweater is awesome. I would buy more colors if they had any left. It's warm and comfy without being overbearing. I hope LLBEAN continues to carry this item!

I ordered two of these sweaters to help get me through the Canadian winter at work. We have a business casual environment and it's COLD in my office, so these sweaters pass the test.
They wash well and retain their shape. The only drawback is that I find myself having to re-arrange the collar part, but it's no big deal.
I think I will order one of the lighter cotton versions of this sweater for the spring.

I loved this sweater the minute I saw it and ordered immediately as it is hard for me to find sweaters that are appropriate for my age. I also loved it from the minute I put it on. Length, sleeve length, fit and the little gathering at the back gives it a touch of chic. I wear it with just about anything as it is neutral (the gray heather), comfy and warm. I was just delighted to find this sweater and sorry to hear that others experience was not as wonderful as mine. Hope to keep this one for a long time!

I am 5'9", 140lbs. I bought this in the blue at the Albany store as a Christmas gift my husband wanted to give me. I am long legged and the style of this sweater helps "break-up" my height. I think the way the sweater flares out is different and feminine. I bought this in size M and plan to wear it over longsleeved tees and cotton blouses. It is a very comfortable sweater. I am going to order another color.

I ordered the Textured Tweed Cardigan Sweater in khaki. Absolutely loved the color, the length looked perfect and the feel of the knit was so nice and soft; I was initially very pleased with my purchase. Then I put it on. To say I was disappointed is an understatement! The shape of the sweater is awful. It billows out at the hips. I hated to send it back, but I couldn't live with the way it fit. What a shame; this looked like a real winner.

I bought this sweater for my daughter for xmas. This is the first xmas she put her present on as soon as she OPENED IT!!!! I knew then it was a hit. I bought the granite,which she loved and said looked xmasy. She is 5'ft.9inches.I bought the large. It fit her perfectly. She is also long waisted.The fit couldnt have been better. The texture is is very nice, different from what i have boughten in the past. she has long arms and it fit perfectly.Keep the size in mind when ordering. this sweater can look good even smaller.

Happy25y What a great outfit!
I paired the textured tweed cardigan in russet with the matching turtleneck and wore them with the russet twill boot cut pants on Christmas Eve. Soooo many compliments! Although I have only been an LL Bean customer for one year, I am hooked!

I guess I misunderstood the previous reviews. I thought others meant that this sweater flared out at the bottom hem, near the hips. (Maybe it does on some people?) Flaring out near the hips would not bother me, but when I put it on, it flared straight out from the middle, right where the folded-over shawl collar starts. This made me look huge and very big around the waist. A button or something might keep that from happening, but I don't like to button cardigans. The color is lovely, and the sweater is soft; it seems to be well-made. I love cardigans. Because of allergies, I can't wear wool or cashmere, and I am always looking for good cotton-blend cardigans that are longer and soft and machine washable. Guess I am still looking. I am disappointed that LL Bean offers so many short, boxy, thick, chunky-knit sweaters but none that are stylish, longer, lighter, and without wool. It is a shame because I love LL Bean, but too many of their women's clothes aren't suitable for those who like modern styles and clothes that flatter. I am sending the sweater back now and will continue to hope for better women's clothing styles from LL Bean.

I am so pleased with this sweater. It fits like a dream and keeps me warm and cozy on winter days. Can be worn with jeans, or you can dress it up a bit with slacks. I will be ordering another one.
