Rated 4 out of 5 by NAVAL Great fit, comfortable, good quality fabric
I was looking for good shirt that I can use under my blazers at the office and I chanced to go to the L.L.Bean site. I found the Pima Cotton Tee, Elbow-Sleeve Scoop-neck. I tried 2 colors: black and teal. They looked great and I went and got 2 more colors! I love the length and scoop neck as I do not feel strangled as with other shirts and it makes me look taller. I wish they have more colors like crimson red and electric blue.

I've owned many of the pima cotton tops over the years, and just bought my first elbow-sleeve scoop neck, in white. I love it! The sleeves and scoop neck feel perfect to me, as does the overall fit and length. I buy many LLBean things in petite, but I always get these shirts in regular because the petite is cut way too short and small to begin with. From my past experience with this line, I won't be putting this in the dryer. All of the LL Bean pima shirts shrink in length continuously, every time they go in the dryer, not just the first time. My mother loves the pima nightgowns and they end up comically short after several months of wear. I'm not sure I would want LL Bean to change the material because it's so nice, but it should be noted that using a dryer (even just slightly warm) will cause shrinkage again and again. Otherwise I would give these shirts 5 stars. I just bought the elbow sleeve style in 2 more colors.

This top is a good length. Contrary to the reviews about it being too short, I find that this length is ideal for wearing with skirts. The material is so soft. The elbow length dresses it up a bit.

Love the fact that you have elbow length sleeves. Elbow length does cover the flapping upper arms.
Now to improve the style: using the elbow length sleeves can you make it be a slight scoop neck or a small v-neck with a normal body fit (not fitted) and long enough to cover the stomach area? When you have the flapping upper arms, you have other sins to hide too. Length should be about 29 inches - 30 if it's going to shrink because of the cotton. Remember, people who have upper arm loose skin is probably an indication chest and neck area and tummy area probably aren't that good either so a shallow v-neck or shallow scoop neck would be much better than something that almost comes down to your breasts. Doesn't Bean want to have the business from that part of the population?
I hope this will be passed on to whoever designs or picks out the designs that Bean sells and starts catering to that part of the population who need more help. Thanks.

Why do the elbow length tops have such a scoop neck? I like a modified scoop neck but not like this. Why do you think we want elbow length sleeves??? Usually it is our age and we do not have the bodies we use to have to show including neck lines!

I really love the style of this tee shirt. The neckline and sleeve length are just right for me. I washed and dried the tee on gentle cycle and low heat and it still shark about 1.5 inches in length. This is frustrating as I do love the style and would gladly buy several of these if they didn't shrink. If you are petite or short-waisted this might work for you. I am long-waisted and like tees that come at least to mid-hip length. Tees that stop in the middle of my abdomen are not flattering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Adventure1 Great shirt!
I've ordered this shirt in many colors and it's great - not tight. It can be dressed up with a scarf for work or worn casually. I ordered petite small and it kept it's length after washing. I'll be ordering more!

Rated 1 out of 5 by winniepooh Dif length back than front
The tee is shorter in the front than the back! Measure the top seam and the front of the t-shirt is an inch or two shorter compared to the back. I ordered from Bean because they seemed to fit better in the length. These were such a disappointment.
Spandex makes them a bit clingy too - showing everything.
Great colors tho!!

I bought this shirt in butter which is a light yellow. The fit is perfect and the neckline is very flattering, the sleeve length is great for slightly cooler weather. The sleeve length and neckline is a little dressier than a typical crew neck t-shirt. I'm getting ready to purchase another!

Rated 1 out of 5 by shopper557766 it shrinks in length
I have bought so many of these shirts because I keeping hoping they have changed the manufacturer. Love the colors, weight and style. Unfortunately, even when the instructions are followed, the length gets to short. Besides, why would you buy a t-shirt you can't put in the drier and then have to iron.
