This traditional heirloom-quality coat is a must-have in every closet. Crafted of premium 18 oz. Italian wool, known to be thicker, denser and softer than other wool fabrics available. It's also warm, breathable and naturally water repellent – and unlike other natural fibers it continues to insulate even when damp. Expertly brushed to a soft, pill-resistant finish that will keep its good looks season after season. Sized to fit comfortably over a blazer. Body and sleeves are lightly insulated with Thinsulate™ Insulation polyester for extra warmth. Rugged buttons are lockstitched with backer buttons for extra durability. Cotton-lined body and polyester-taffeta lining in sleeves for easy on/off. Button-closure pockets inside. Zip-and-button closure and back vent. Imported. Dry clean.

I GOT THIS COAT AS A GIFT, IT WAS ORIGINALLY PURCHASE IN THE COLOR CAMEL, WHEN I RECEIVED IT , IT DIDN'T REALLY APPEAR TO BE WHAT I HAVE KNOWN TO BE THE COLOR " CAMEL". SO I POLITELY PHONED IN TO LLBEAN AND TOLD THEM THE COLOR WAS OFF. FROM WHAT WAS ORIGINALLY PERCEIVED TO BE THE COLOR " CAMEL". I TOOK THE COAT BACK TO THE STORE AT RIDGE HILL , YONKERS, THEY WERE BRIGHT AND CHEERFUL TO ME , AND PROMPTLY REFUNDED AND REORDERED, ANOTHER A SUBSTITUTE COLOR OF NAVY. AND YEAH , THE COLOR WAS GREAT, IT HAS A ZIPPER AND BUTTON FRONT, ALONG WITH AN INSIDE POCKET, AND FLEECED LINED POCKETS. AND WAS REDUCED FROM IT'S NORMAL PRICE. BY ALMOST 50%. I BOUGHT A MATCHING WOOL HAT , AND I LOOKED LIKE " MR. BOND" !! March 7, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5�by WNYguy Much too tight in the shoulders Beautiful, warm coat but the sizing is way off. I have at least three other coats from LL Bean in size XXL and they all fit great. I can wear a sweater under any of them and be comfortable. However, wearing this coat with just a shirt alone, it was much too tight in the shoulders. I could never put both hands on a steering wheel of my car. No way is it cut to fit over a sportcoat as the description claims. I had to return it. Not sure why there is such variation in fit between coats from the same company. February 25, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5�by kellypdx Amazing For less than $100, this is an absolute steal. Arrived early, and well-enough packaged. First, note that this is a WARM coat. It's not Primaloft, which in this rare instance is probably for the best, as it would be too warm to every really wear outside of 20 degree days and snow. The sleeves are a little long, but not ridiculous. I probably won't have them shortened. Regarding others' complaints about the wide fit in the center, I like it...not because of inordinate largeness around the center, but because the tapered fit at the top that actually looks really, really snazzy. The wool is beautiful and construction and buttons are great. The zipper is perfectly fine, and while I understand others' criticism that it's not two-way, I don't understand why I wouldn't just use the buttons if I'm getting in and out of a car. I certainly wouldn't want this coat zipped up sitting in a heated car anyway. Nice one, LL Bean, and a sweet, sweet deal! February 20, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5�by 3345 Geat fit This coat is what I expected and the product description is accurate. Fit is in accordance with the size chart. The only negative is the lack of a two-way zipper...making sitting and driving, with the coat zipped, difficult at best. January 9, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5�by Billxyz Not a Car Coat I wanted a car coat because it provides extra room in the back and shoulders. This makes it comfortable in the car and allows one to wear a heavy sweater under it. This coat does not. I am a small 2xl and this coat was marginally tight in the arms and shoulders with just a shirt on. My other complaint is that the wool fabric is much rougher than other wool car coats. Further, the lining fails to protect the skin against this coarse fabric. November 1, 2012

Cons This coat could use a drawstring at the waist, a hanging loop and a larger zipper. Overall it is a good coat but I would like it more if it had the additional features. February 15, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5�by LLBeanFan814 Heritage Wool Coat I found the over all quality of the coat was great. I liked the styling better than other similar coats. The issue I have with the coat is the sizing. I ordered a Small and found it to be too big. It looked too big especially around the middle and the sleeves were too long. I am 5'4" medium build, 31/32 sleeve . For the car coat length it really should have had a split zipper. Especially since on me the coat was border line too long for its purpose. I returned the coat. I think LL bean can enhance its presentation to include such information. (I know they did for men's shirts) Other than that, It seems a nice coat. I returned. February 8, 2012
