Light, warm, stretchy, incredibly breathable, this is the most flexible technical fleece you're likely to find. I've worn it skiing (alpine & nordic), as an underlayer in temps to the low teens on a photo outing, and standalone on hikes. Washes trouble-free too. I bought one early in the year, but when they went on sale, bought another for myself and another as a gift. At the sale price, incredible value.

We were looking for a compact light weight effective warmth layer to have in our backpacks for hiking and overnight trips. While this garment meets the first two criteria I didn't find it to have the insulative value we wanted for general use around the tent site or for chillier weather. I believe any simple Polartec 200 jacket would be much warmer, not much heavier, but not as compact. These are probably alright in warmer climates for lows down to 50F. We are returning these and have ordered the LL Bean Ultralight Down Jackets.

Bean advertized WARM, Very, LIGHTWEIGHT, Very, PACKABLE,Very Easy. Did I mention this jacket can be used as a layer over or under another layer. Versatile.
Colors are beautiful. Regular or Tall sizes. Fits my 5 foot 18 inches tall hubby.
I agree this jacket almost feels flimsey and if you are rough on your clothes, do not order this. You can wear this often, but not to chop wood, etc.
I ordered several to give as holiday gifts. All in black.
The green and blue are gorgeous also.
After you recover from how light weight this jacket is, you will feel fine about your purchase, especially at this sale price.
Wear in good health.

I bought one Men"s large blue for me. My Son who was home from Biloxi saw it and wanted one for himself, his wife and thought my other son in Atlanta would love one. He was right!! I ordered one for everyone - they loved them!! One son wanted both blue and green to decide on color and kept both!! Thank you Bean for your wonderful free shipping and return and GREAT SALE PRICE! The jacket is super comfy, warm and perfect in size. I do alot of camping and traveling and the packability is wonderful! My husband "stole" mine so I reordered another in green. GREAT JACKET IN EVERY WAY!

Rated 4 out of 5 Great light-weight jacket
Being a light-weight jacket, it is not as durable as a regular fleece, but it is a great throw-on for a mild to cooler day. Packs up incredibly small for hikes. People will rub your arm constantly in awe of how soft it is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by OnABeanDiscovery Lightweight and warm
This fleece is very lightweight and warm. It would pack nicely for a camping trip for a light layer to keep around on a crisp morning. I like the zip feature as opposed to a pullover. I ordered the first one and after I had worn it a few times ordered 2 more.

Even though this is a Men's Fleece, I liked the style and look better than many of the Ladies styles. Being a petite gal (5'2 118lbs) I ordered it in a small. Sleeves are a fuzz long, but nothing I can't deal with & run into this a lot anyway even in Women sizes. It is very soft & I love it! Washes nicely no piling, very little shrinkage if any at all. The only thing that bothers me is the left side when worn doesn't lay flat when zipped as shown in the pic, but nothing I can't deal with. I wear it often as a layering jacket/shirt with LS Tees. Keeps me warm, comfy, & cozy when worn outside with my winter coat or indoors. This will be nice for a Spring & Fall Jacket as well, around the homestead or camping.

Rated 3 out of 5 by heyacuraman Not what I expected but performing
Expected - Nice looking, feeling and color; very warm and particularly comfortable around the neck when zipped all the way up; works well as an underlay for any weight jacket; nice zippers and areas around the zipper; great price when on sale.
Not expected - This "jacket" is really, really thin. Pulling around the cuff to remove the jacket causes concern over putting a finger through the fabric; high wear/stress/contact areas may not survive for many wearings or seasons.

Rated 4 out of 5 by EgansMom SO Soft and Suprisingly Warm
I bought a petite version of this jacket on sale in February. On sale, I think it is a good value. Not sure I would pay full price.
Knowing that a selling feature was that it could be compressed to fit in a bottle, I expected it to be thin. When it arrived I thought it seemed even thinner than expected. But, I put it on, went out in the 20ish degree snowy weather, and it performed great.
For a petite jacket, the sleeves still seem a bit on the long side.
I have the blue color and it's lovely and the fleece really is super, super soft.
