Rated 3 out of 5 Comfortable but pills to much
This was an awesome sweater out of the box, very comfy. The only issue is that over time it's pilled.

Nice colors - got the blue and sable - very comfortable - very soft - not a thick sweater (correctly) - sizing seemed perfect based on sizing chart - will wear over a thin undershirt -

years of wearing wool/blend allows one to say by far these are the most comfortable. The colors work well for the average wardrobe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by newsdude Slight pilling but a fine piece
Took it out of the bag, put it on and wore it ten days straight. Warm, light, fashionable--ideal layering item. looks great over button-down shirt. Only complaint: a slight pilling of wool after two weeks of wear. But this is a highly versatile piece, a necessary compliment to austere New England wardrobe. Sizewise: if you are usually a large, I would try a medium first.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SailSkiTennisBiker Finally a Wool Jersey
I had been looking for a wool jersey, and there it was in the men's department. I bought two: two shades of blue. It's the best: comfortable, warm, perfect under a sweater. (I didn't realize it sort of is a sweater.) But the first wash shrank it down to half my size. I'm trying to stretch it back, but no luck yet. Still comfortable, though. I'll be careful when I wash the 2nd. Hey, does anybody know a good way to stretch this out? I still really like wearing it, but it won't tuck into my pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DuckDogOutdoorsman FANTASTIC!
I just bought the grey & within 10 minutes of receiving it ordered the navy as well.
I had this sweater/shirt in grey years ago. I honestly forgot about how often I wore it & in such a myriad of forums it's not to be believed.
I wore the thing to death, even after my girlfriend at the time put it in the dryer. I stretched it out as best I could & continued to wear it until there were holes throughout.
When I took a closer look at this piece on-line, I immediately knew what I was missing. This merino sweater/shirt can be worn with a Sportcoat, jeans, chinos, a layer in the cold, a layer while hunting...truly a fantastic piece to own. If you are a wool lover like me, this allows you to comfortably wear wool 9 mos out of the year. Obviously from layered underneath to nothing underneath. One of my absolute favorite pieces of clothing. No man should be without this piece...from 17-90 yrs old, it works. It works in thousands of situations. Buy this, you will never regret owning this. Trust me, trust me, please

Rated 5 out of 5 by ClarkPato Great Purchase
I really enjoy this sweater. It is lightweight but still plenty warm. The Merino wool is very soft, I worn it over a button down Oxford and it was very comfortable. Definitely recommend. I purchased the grey heather color and am considering getting another color. It does run a little small, so I would go up a size when ordering.

I bought this sweater for my son-in-law and he LOVES it. It is very warm and a handsome fit. When I asked him how he liked it after several wearings, he said he wanted another so I promptly ordered the blue. Thanks LLBean for making me a winner in the gift department!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nutsaboutweimaraners Lush, Hard to Find Warmth
After accidentally washing my husband's wool shirt, I honestly thought I'd never be able to replace it.
But you guys had it. It is lush, beautiful, well made, and looks good on him. So far, he's walking on air. And quite warm with it. Seriously, it is well made and sturdy while still being snappy and tailored. Oh, heavens me, I hope you keep offering wool shirts like this.
