Rated 1 out of 5 by bluekygrass Armholes too small
Bought XXL - normally the correct size but armholes are narrow and shirt pulls uncomfortably across shoulders and arms - returning

This was the first Poplin shirt I've ever purchased and I was not impressed. It has a tight weave, which is usuall good, but does not iron up to a nice, crisp feel like most cotton shirts. Had I not already worn the shirt first I would have returned it. Will use it as a work shirt and make sure to not order anything "poplin."

This shirt is not easy "wrinkle free" after several wash and dry including ironing.
The poplin is very stiff prior to first wash and does become kind of soft if you like to wear a shirt that feels like it is full of starch.
Shirt is very hard to iron and I never got it to look good enough to wear.
A waste of my money and time. Wished I had purchased another type.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Petersen Nice shirt!
I bought the mariner blue medium tall shirt checked shirt, and I absolutely love it. It's 100% cotton, so ironing is necessary, but it looks great once that chore is out of the way. The quality is superb, the details and stitching are perfect, it fits exactly right and I love to wear it. If my wife wouldn't make fun of me, I'd buy a couple more.

I bought the navy check which is of very smooth and somewhat tight knit fabric. The color is distinct , too. However, I found the chest ( 44") too small in a small and more importantly the armholes were tighter than any other Bean shirt I own ( quite a few). This seems to be a common design "problem" in spring shirts. Also, the stitching was very uneven in some interior parts--and the white thread looked awful around the outer collar area ( which is not a good sign...)
The buttons, I must add, are better quality than I saw on last year's poplin shirts in that they are heavier and shinier.
In general the appearance of this shirt is nice and neat but the details are lacking-- pass.
You can do better, LLB.
