Rated 5 out of 5áby AvidlyOutdoors Comfortable, Sturdy, Good-Looking Shoe
After an extensive search --trying Merrell, Keen and several other respected hiking shoes-- I found these to be the most comfortable and best-looking pair around. I'm a woman but preferred the fit and of the men's 'trail model hiker' --and the graphite/mineral gray color as well. I've been wearing them for long walks and occasional hiking and have found them to be consistently comfortable; a year or so later, I can now say they are durable as well. As my son would say, they're like "rainbows on my feet." I was very disappointed to return to the the website and see they are being discontinued.

Rated 5 out of 5áby FrankDu4 Just what I needed.
These are great all weather shoes. Not quite as flexible as my Morrells, these have a thicker soul and stiffer ankle. Very nice fit with comfortable padding at ankles and smooth lacing.

Rated 3 out of 5áby ncbeanshopper Inadequate arch support
I usually have good luck with fit with Bean shoes, but this particular shoe had inadequate arch support for me. I would still recommend it, since obviously that might not be a problem for someone else. The general quality was good and the sale price was excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5áby MikeMcb Very comfortable, sturdy
Note: short term review...used shoes on a very hilly, rocky trail for a 7 mile 90 minute walk. These trail shoes were a luxury compared to the cross trainers I usually wear. Feet / shoes felt very secure as I was coming down some very steep hills. 2 days later and no negative feelings to my old feet from this good workout. I am used to workboots, Timberlands typically.....which I love. These shoes felt great. 2nd note.....this is a review after very short term use; I hope the positive results continue.

Rated 5 out of 5áby GAOutdoors Great Pair Of Shoes !
I usually take a 10.5 D in a New Balance athletic shoe, but took the advice of the other reviewers and ordered 1/2 size larger - 11 D (Medium width) for a great fit. These shoes are perfect for everyday casual wear with jeans etc. The shoes fit great right out of the box and required no break in period.
This is a very comfortable pair of shoes !

Rated 3 out of 5áby Anthony1234 Not For Everyday Use
1. The advice offered by other reviewers to order Ż size larger than your actual size is good advice.
2. Do not think of these as jogging shoes that just happen to be waterproof. When worn they feel much closer to light hiking boots. I weighed the Trail Model Hikers and my New Balance jogging shoes: New Balance (one shoe): 14.4 oz.
Trail Model (one shoe): 18oz. (1 lb.4oz.) or 20% heavier.
Conclusion: these may feel a little clunky for everyday walking, but if waterproof hikers are what you want for occasional wear, they should be fine.

Rated 2 out of 5áby chasbo two different sizes
Left shoe fits, right toe jammed up against toe box. These look like shoes that could take a beating, but I have two feet of the same size. I'll try Targhee Bryce in a 10 medium and pray for a good fit. At least the returns are easy.
