Rated 4 out of 5 by ocean Softest flannel!!
This Freeport flannel shirt is exactly what I was looking for! The fabric is soft, not scratchy; is a lighter weight, great for layering; and is a generous length! Although I am a small person, I bought size large, in order to layer it, and it's perfect as is, am hoping it does not shrink more than it did on first wash! I have long arms, and am pleased with the sleeve length! More color choices and combinations would be nice, and I'm not crazy about the way the design was set up for the pockets. Otherwise am looking forward to many days of warmth from my new cornflower blue flannel shirt!

I just received my two shirts in Grey Heather and Twilight and liked them so much that I went back online to order more in other colors, but there were none left in my size (Petite, XXS). Maybe they will come back into stock and then I will definitely order more because this is a wonderful shirt. True, it is very lightweight, but that's what I wanted instead of a heavy flannel. The colors I ordered are very pretty and the shirt itself is soft, comfortable, and fits perfectly (5'2", 107 lbs). These are the perfect shirts for riding my horse in warm weather and, for cooler days, under a vest. The flannel doesn't itch like some of the heavier fabrics do and the slim cut is very flattering. I like the length as it's not too long (or short) for tucking into jeans and the sleeves are also a good length. I am so pleased with LLBean's petite line of clothing and I am really hoping for this shirt to reappear in more colors in my size!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Renaissancewoman Good for layering, not to stay warm
This is a lightweight flannel shirt, and in my opinion a bit overpriced. I purchased 3 on sale and use them for layering over another shirt, and under a vest or fleece. They are not particularly warm alone, but they add color and don't bunch up or buckle when tucked in. I am 5'4" and have a 36 inch bust...I purchased a medium regular. The sleeves of the petite would be too short. So far I think these have washed well and have only shrunk a little. If you are looking for a soft warm substantial flannel shirt, take a look at Bean's Scotch Plaid shirt. You can't beat them for quality, softness and warmth. I have two so far and I love them, but I don't tuck them in!

Rated 5 out of 5 by peargirl Pretty good shirt
Overall it is a pretty good shirt. The petite sizing is a great option with the length just right. The regular was too long to fit comfortably over my hips. The pockets are not necessary. If more care was taken to match the plaid of the pocket square to the plaid behind it they would be less noticeable. Hoping to see this shirt offered again in petite and perhaps in some more 'earth toned' plaids or even solid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by purpleballoon really love this shirt
I was looking for a new flannel shirt for this year and originally ordered a fleece-lined flannel that was too big. I could not exchange it for another size, so I ended up ordering this shirt on a whim. I really love it, I was afraid that the fabric would be too thin, but it is definitely substantial for a shirt that isn't lined with jersey or fleece. It's pretty wind-resistant too, and living on a hilly campus in New England, it's perfect. I have a larger chest (34E) but a smaller frame; I ordered a small and it fits perfectly with room to wear a shirt underneath. Fabric is really soft! Definitely want to order another.

Rated 3 out of 5 by SLKT Fabric is thin and shirt is small
I like the colors, but to me, the fabric is too thin and the shirts run small. They shrank after I washed them, so now they are smaller. So, if you want a fitted flannel, this shirt may suit you, but it does not work for me as an overshirt - must be worn as a single layer. I'm trying a different style and going up a size to see if that will work for me.

Disappointed in this shirt. Not a "midweight" flannel - very lightweight fabric. Not what I was expecting. Purchased for outdoor use in winter but is far too lightweight to be functional. For the price was a disappointment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LukeLovesIt Wanted to try
I'd been wanting to try the famouse flannel shirts from LLBean and splurged on this shirt. I wanted to wait until it had been through a bunch of washings before giving a review. So far it seems to be holding up great with a tiny bit of noticeable shrinking. The shrinking is noticeable but minimal.
I do like the "weight" of the flannel as it is not too thick like some can be. It is comfortable to wear and I like the design.

I love this shirt! The fabric is soft and warm yet relatively lightweight. The fit is true; I am 5'3". 105 lbs. and ordered a regular 'Small'. The fit is perfect, slightly fitted but not too much. I ordered the turquoise. It's a deep, rich color and I think it's prettier than the one pictured in the catalog.

Rated 3 out of 5 by SapphireSkies Lightweight and very slightly shaped
I bought this shirt in both Classic Navy and Dark Fuchsia. I love the colors, which are rich and bright. When I first opened the packages, the material didn't feel like flannel, as it was thin and smooth. After washing, though, it's got more of a soft, brushed feel, though still very lightweight. I ordered it in Petite Small and was afraid it might be tight, as my bust is between 36 and 37, but there's room for a turtleneck underneath. Despite the darts, the shirt is only very slightly shaped and the mostly straight hem makes it look a little boxy. I was hoping for more shape. So, I'm disappointed but will wear them on weekends since the colors are so great.
