I was disappointed to discover how lightweight this flannel shirt is. Nothing like my previous flannel shirt from LlBean. It is soft and the color is very nice. I will be keeping it, but I don't think it will be on my favorites list like my last flannel shirt.

Love the color, fits according to size, thin flannel. Do not expect a cozy warm flannel.

I love this shirt! I am 5'1 and weigh 114# and the XS Petite fit perfect except the sleeves were too long, but the flannel is thin enough that they can be rolled up and still look good. The flannel is nice and lightweight but still warm. I ordered one last year, two this year, and the third is on it's way. I got the Peony, the gray, and the purple clover. Nice plaids.

Rated 2 out of 5 by LLBeanFan888 Poor Quality Fabric and different fit
So disappointed. I bought several of these shirts last year and was looking forward to purchasing new ones. The fabric is not nearly as nice as last year's fabric and the fit is also different. I even pulled out last year's shirts to compare . . . just not as nice. The good news is that this year's slightly fitted scotch plaid flannel shirt is a nice quality flannel with a good fit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by TooTallForTallSize Tall Size Please!
When will you offer a tall size? Or even better, sleeve length choices? I love the fabric, and wish I could buy one for myself but the sleeves are too short. I have the Men's Med Tall, but it is not very flattering!

Love this flannel shirt. Colors are bright. Not a man's shirt. A real girl shirt. The material is soft. I'm keeping it but would love to know WHY when you spend 45.00 for a shirt and its plaid they can't line the plaids up on the side. I usually don't buy anything that doesn't line up. I know it costs but this shirt was not cheap.....

Rated 3 out of 5 by kah4279 Nice shirt, but not my favorite
I decided to check out the LL Bean flannel shirts over the weekend to prepare for the fall, and after reading reviews of sizes running out, I wanted to get mine early. I ended up ordering several different styles and sizes to compare. I got the Scotch Plaid slightly fitted shirt in a medium, the Scotch Plaid relaxed fit in a small, the Freeport flannel shirt in small, and the fleece-lined flannel shirt in small. For reference, I am 5'5'' and 145 pounds and usually wear an 8/M in clothes. The Freeport flannel was ok. I knew the flannel was going to be a lighter weight, and I was ok with that. It was still a soft, mid-weight flannel. It fit pretty well. It was long enough with a streamlined fit in the width. I could have taken a bit more length in the sleeve. I didn't love the pockets (gave the shirt a little more of a western look than preppy), and the colors weren't quite as vibrant as I would have liked. I am returning it. I was disappointed overall with the fleece-lined flannel shirt. While the fleece was great, the flannel felt thin and not too soft. As for the fit, the width of the shirt was ok, but the length was too short, and so were the sleeves. I also didn't think the colors were very good, even less vibrant than the Freeport flannel. It's also going back. The Scotch Plaids were definitely my favorite! The flannel was thick and soft, and the colors vibrant, just as everyone said. The small relaxed and the medium fitted version both fit very similarly, which is also the fit of the small Freeport flannel. I hope this helps you decide which flannel to get. There was nothing wrong with the Freeport shirt; it just wasn't as nice as the Scotch plaid in my opinion!

Rated 5 out of 5 by rbhoughak Great Comfy Feminine Flannel
I've had other flannel shirts from a well known construction apparel company. They were cute but shrunk a lot. The flannel was a heavier weight, almost restricting. This shirt is super comfy. Warm without being heavy and cumbersome. I got the Dusty Orange for a feminine look in Small and can fit a long sleeve tee underneath for an added layer.
It's a flannel, nothing earth shattering, most likely won't turn heads, but a staple in cooler weather and climates. This is a comfy, cute one and a go to in my closet.
For Reference I'm 5'9, 150 lbs. B cup. Somewhat broader shoulders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SunbeltGirl LOVE THIS IN DUSTY NAVY!!
I just got mine last week and it's very pretty.
The colors are rich and I love the more fitted look of this shirt.
Infact, I like it so much I wore is unbuttoned over a pair of white shorts and a white pima cotton Tee from LL Bean.
It looks very cute with white and I can see it would be adorable with jeans.
It's different than many flannel shirts. The colors are brighter.
The fabric is soft too.
The first time I wore it out, I got compliments which is a first for me with any flannel shirt. ha
Love it LL Bean. Thank you!

I purchased this in the dusty orange which looked great online but the color was just not for me. I easily exchanged it for the peony and I love it. This is my third Freeport Flannel I have 2 from last year. This year I sized up so that I could wear a shirt underneath and be comfortable.
This a great flannel but note that it is a lightweight flannel, not a heavy flannel like the Scotch Plaid flannel.
