Fabric is soft, but hardly flannel, very thin. Will keep because the price was right with a $10 coupon. Nice color, okay for layering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by shop2much06 Warmer than you would expect
I purchased this flannel in the dark fuschia. I LOVE the color. It goes great with either a black or white puffy vest and is incredibly warm. I live in AK, and I wore this with only a puffy vest the other day and was surprisingly warmer than I had anticipated (it was about 40 degrees).

Rated 4 out of 5 by BOWCOW Nice shirt but too long
I am 5'4" and I wanted to tuck this shirt under my skirts. It is a very nice shirt and fits well except it is way too long. It extends down my thigh and is just too long. I do realize there is a petite size, but I was concerned that the sleeves would be too short because of my long arms. I don't know; I didn't try the petite.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Snarkie greater variety in men's flannel shirts
Men have better selection, patterns and colors that flatter, I love the one in bottle blue. The contrast between the stripes on the women's flannel shirts is too extreme. I either buy the one I like in the men's section and have the sleeves shortened or search the web for something that is more flattering.

Rated 4 out of 5 by thatwombat Comfortable light weight flannel- pretty colors
I purchased 2 of these Freeport flannel shirts last year- in the cornflower blue and rose- both are beautiful unexpected colors for what I would say is really just a basic unexciting flannel shirt. To me, these shirts fit a bit snugger than the LLB traditional tartan plaid flannel shirts and the flannel is not as durable/substantial. I also am not crazy about the placement of the pockets with the fabric cut on the bias on this shirt. The gold standard in flannel shirts is still LLB's tartan plaid- for the money, it is the best I have found anywhere.
The few minor negatives aside, I do like this flannel shirt and enjoy wearing the ones I have- the colors definitely were the draw for me. Will probably buy another this year- just trying to decide which one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Willowglen Very nice shirt, fit could be improved
I ordered this shirt in Aqua Teal, Petite Large to fit my bust measurement. (I'm 5'3", 155 lbs.) I was delighted to find a shirt that fit my shoulders and my arms, I'm broad shouldered for a woman and have long arms for my height. However, this shirt is very generously cut through the waist with minimal tailoring. I was anticipating the "slightly fitted" feel but this is what I would call "relaxed". This will be a house shirt for that reason.
I would return but the fit in the upper body is fabulous, I really love the colour, and the flannel has a wonderful feel (not too heavy, but not a wimpy weight either).

Rated 2 out of 5 by Liz62 Nice-Looking But Flannel Disappointing
The shirt is lovely to look at. Vibrant colors-- fun to wear. Nice fit. The flannel material was disappointing, however. Much too light a feel for the cold winter months. Your return policy is greatly appreciated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HikerTwoShoes Fabulous shirt
I really love this shirt, enough to have just bought a second one. The small is a perfect fit for me at 5'5" 136 lbs. It is a lightweight flannel but I like that because it's very easy to layer and it's super soft. I bought the gray heather first and it has a vintage look to it that I like a lot. Next I'm trying the Twilight..

Rated 5 out of 5 by JewelMoti Freeport Flannel Shirt
I spend a lot of time on a farm with my horse, and this flannel shirt not only keeps me warm on these crisp cool autumn mornings in upstate new york, it washes beautifully and keeps its shape. I also love the colors that are available. I stay clean, warm and look stylish at the same time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Emsi So glad this comes in Petite sizing!
I needed a flannel to layer over a t-shirt for autumn barn chores, and I needed a petite size small. Enter L.L. Bean to the rescue. I'll probably be getting one or two more before winter, because it's super soft and seems durable. I wish it was a heavier weight like some of the men's flannels are. Mostly I'm happy with the fit. The price is comparable to buying a less expensive shirt and then paying to have it tailored. That's why I keep coming back to L.L. Bean over the years.
