Rated 3 out of 5 by NEsquare Best I can find
I own five of the cashmere crew neck sweaters. I wear them all the time as I like light-weight warmth and the colors offered. That said, the quality is not good, but I have not been able to find a cashmere sweater anywhere that is of good quality, so until I do, these will suffice. They pill right away. I have a little tool to help with that. I'm going to try storing them inside out in a plastic bag to see if that delays the pilling. And cashmere just isn't as soft and thick as it was 20 years ago. For some reason wool quality anywhere these days is severely lacking. I've seen cashmere sweaters on-line that sell for $350, but question whether they would be any better. (Wouldn't pay that much anyway!) Although I often buy size large in tops because of wide shoulders, for these sweaters I buy a medium.

I bought this sweater in grey - it's beautiful , the fit in petite is perfect for me. I am 5' tall and usually can't find sweaters with sleeves that are just right.
The cashmere is high quality.
I will buy again and recommend LL Bean

I love cashmere for keeping warm. It packs well, its easy to layer and always looks classic.
I usually buy at least one cashmere sweater, per season, from Bean. Because of this, I can tell that the quality of cashmere is not as good as it was a few years ago, even. It is thinner and therefore, I will have to watch putting my elbows down too much, (it wears particularly fast at the elbows) and it also pills a bit. It is a shame, I love their sweaters, but I wish they would up the quality of the yarn when they up the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by longtimeND Beautiful classic sweater; wish I get get another
I ordered this sweater back in November and have worn it several times. It's beautifully soft and looks great. After a couple of weeks I decided to order in more colors only to find there were none left in my size (medium). In addition to the colors it originally came in, I would buy this sweater in ivory or white in a heartbeat. Classic sweaters look great in classic colors. It was very reasonably priced and handled hand-washing just fine.

First of all, I love LLBean! I have a pair of riding boots from the 1980s that are classic, timeless and still look and feel great. I also have a down vest that I garden in from the same era. I had a 1990 squall jacket that went out of style but never pilled, faded or otherwise wore out. While these are extreme examples, they demonstrate the quality that LLBean is famous for, and what I have experienced in the past So what is with the cashmere? I have an old cashmere Bean sweater from 10 years ago that I still bum around the house in, and it has not pilled. I wanted to like these new sweaters so much, the colors are beautiful- but after wearing a couple of times they are already pilling! LLBean, I am willing to pay twice this amount for a quality sweater that lasts and lasts... but not 100 for one that looks worn in a few wearings. Back they go. I hope better cashmere can be sourced in the future and if so, I will buy it from LLBean, still my favorite store.

Last fall I ordered this cashmere sweater in the camel colour. When it arrived I realized how great it was, and ordered three more in different colours! I love them all! They are soft and warm and look great. I get so many compliments!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Calwashere Best cashmere sweater
I get really cold so good sweaters are essential for me. Cotton doesn't keep me as warm as wool and I get itchy with most wool. This is the only cashmere sweater I can wear without itching. They are pricey but I'd rather have fewer sweaters that keep me warm than a stack of sweaters that don't.
The sizing is a bit off. I got a medium for Christmas in the gray. It was a bit too small. I returned it at the retail store and got another medium....that was peculiar.....the second medium was just fine. That being said....I have three of these in medium, large and extra large. The XL is tunic like, large and medium both fine. It depends on how you want to wear it. Large and XL can be layered over shirts but I'd wear the medium alone or as a first layer.
The black is a rare true black. The cream and gray are soft neutral colors.
These can be washed gentle in cold and dried flat. They wash very well.
I might live large and get the red one .....I will keep my fingers crossed these go on sale.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Slavicindesert Pretty color not soft enough cashmere
Crewneck needs to be a bit wider to be comfortable. The sleeves are long enough and overall length of the sweater is good. It is extremely itchy. It is not as soft as other cashmere I got. Also the yarn had flaws - purple color had grey spots in few places.
