This is the second one I've owned. I lost the first one last year on a cruise. It's lightweight, warm, packs well, and can go many places. A great addition to any wardrobe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by jennx attractive, but pills and itch
I had a gift card and wanted to treat myself to some affordable cashmere. I'm glad it didn't really cost me personally as much as it's listed. After scouring the reviews I knew some of the issues with pilling and itching, but there were so many positive reviews I went for it.
Pros: I love the style. The double zip works for me because my hips are bigger. It looks very good on and I've gotten compliments. It seems to run true to size if not a little big (In other brands I wear a Plus 1, here I got the XL and it's a touch large). Good layering piece that is great for 3 seasons.
Cons: I got the black, so it could just be this color, but this isn't the cashmere I'm used to. It's itchy, and starting to pill after only a few wears.I wear a scarf or cowl neck to avoid the neck itch. LL Bean! I trusted you. I am going to keep the sweater because of the pros., and I need a basic black sweater for winter. But it's not the luxury item I had hoped for. My search continues.

Ordered red, color beautiful. Size large: was true to size, roomy yet not boxy. Zipper was straight and easy to open and close. I can see it becoming my favorite sweater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by gypsynani Vibrant teal color, but oh so soft to the touch.
Perfect over a turtleneck or scoop neck shell. Its clean, classic lines are comfortable with my jeans and turquoise/silver jewelry from the Four Corners--and they showcase my best pair of wool slacks and gold jewelry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SeaSprayGirl Warm, no-bulk, flattering zip: Dress up or down
Two years ago, I bought my first cashmere sweater ever: this LL Bean zip in cranberry. I wanted a 100% wool sweater that could pass as a jacket for travel and work, fit smoothly and layer easily without bulk, wears well without pilling, and that had an updated look -- although classic enough to wear year after year. After all, cashmere is an investment item for this frugal New Englander.
This year I bought the black because I love the quality, durability, and warmth. It fits so smartly and I like that the zipper is now the same color as the sweater, which adds an extra touch.
Length is perfect -- I have wider hips but they are not accentuated because the zip draws the eye to my neck and face. I looked high and low for a zip sweater that gives me a sleeker look than a cardigan, and have found the perfect solution!
Next year, please offer a chocolate brown option!
P.S. If the sweater goes on sale soon, I'm tempted to add the red and/or teal to my growing collection. I vow not to be cold this winter!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tollerlover good quality but boxy
as usual, LL Bean's tops are not great for me; broad shoulders, small waist. But I do like this sweater so I kept it as a good travel sweater. Great quality but not very flattering.

This cardigan exceeded my expectations in every possible way. The fit is true, it is luxuriously soft, well made, and very flattering. I couldn't be more pleased!

Great sweater! So soft & warm. The zipper makes it seem more contemporary than a regular cardigan.
