These towels are very thin and small. I would not recommend.

I bought 2 sets in white 6 months ago and then bought 2 more sets. I love the weight and texture. Although they are thinner than the usual "Turkish" towel, they are much more absorbent and their unusual knotted texture feels great to dry off with. They are larger than most towels and never shrink. Wash before using as the tag says, and dry only on LOW. I love them and hope they last a long time!

I just love the concept of these towels, but not the colors. I will probably keep the green set I ordered, but it is much lighter than I expected. I wish L.L.Bean could do these in darker colors, say dark beige, black or forest green, that would be perfect and five star worthy!

These towels and washcloths are remarkable. They absorb liquid very well and hold quite a bit, yet at the same time they dry quickly.
High quality, great for guests, but also wonderful if you have teenagers who generate a lot of towels. I bought the white and the slate blue, and even the white ones appear new after months of heavy use. Will be buying more.

My husband and I are in love with these towels and are planning to replace every towel in our home with these (and washcloth, and hand towel...). They are super absorbent and barely feel wet after you've dried your entire body. They also dry very quickly. The great thing about this is you can use them several days in a row, even a week if you wanted, before washing and there is no odor at all! There is nothing worse than picking up a damp hand towel to dry your hands with after washing. We have 6 people in our home and have not had soggy hand towels since we bought these. They are not the softest, most luxurious, but what they do well is what they were meant to do - to dry your hands/body/etc. They are relatively soft, not scratchy at all, don't take up as much room as traditional "fluffy" towels, and don't leave fibers on you after your shower. Highly recommended!

We needed new towels for our recently remodeled guest bathroom. The bathroom is med/dark gray/green and we bought the burnished orange. They look fabulous! When they arrived, I washed these towels and put them in the master bathroom to give them a "test drive". Love them so much, we want to replace all of our bath towels. Dry fast, ample size, easy care. Would love some bolder colors. We currently have a set of plush dark red and dark brown towels in our bathroom and would like to replace them with dark colors in these.

I bought a set of these towels just over a year ago and they have performed just as advertised, especially where quick-drying and stain resistance is concerned. I just received my second set and I'd give them 6 stars if I was able to. Why? Because a hanging loop has been added to the bath-sized towels - an excellent idea!

When we needed to replace bath towels that deserved a demotion to the rag bag a few years ago, I purchased high end (much pricier, even with a great discount) towels in 750 gram and sculpted 900 gram weights. Turns out TOWEL WEIGHT IS MORE A MATTER OF PERSONAL PREFERENCE THAN AN INDICATOR OF QUALITY.
Even the 750 gram towels not only take forever to hang dry in the bathroom between uses, but also take well over an hour to dry in the dryer at their recommended temperature setting.
Until I tried the fanciest towels, I didn't know that my husband much prefers the suppleness of a lighter towel to the relative stiffness of very thick towels. After using the "spa quality" towels a few times, he asked me, for strictly selfish reasons, to reserve them for guests, who might feel pampered by them, and to find less thick towels for our use.
Ordered these in white soon after, and have added three colors since.
If you prefer the thickest plushest towels, this is not your towel.
Apart from pure linen towels, these feel like the lightest weight bath towels we've ever had. These might be the same gram weight as past good-quality towels, but the pebble-textured, rather than traditional looped terry, surface perhaps make them seem lighter in weight.
The absorbent pebble texture gives them a different appearance from traditional looped-terry towels, but we find it attractively clean-looking. They look #and are# plain and functional, so you may prefer something with a more luxurious look for your guests.
As an everyday towel, the surface feel and suppleness is just the right balance of soft, easy to manipulate and invigorating.
They're all good-sized. The pebble texture is particularly a nice difference for the washcloth. The bath towel is not at all skimpy, but the bath sheet is a nice indulgence.
The towels are quick drying, even on the recommended low setting, and better yet, absolutely ZERO curling edges or shape distortion after countless launderings. The fact that these remain so true in shape keeps them looking neat and fresh.
After indulging the more expensive towels' need for an hour and a half drying on a low setting, the decorative flat weave bands shrunk at a different rate than the looped areas, making the towels no longer true.
These Bean textured towels have been the better value by far.
Have used only colorsafe detergent boosters when needed. When a family member grabbed a white one to mop up some very dirty water #instead of getting something from the rag bag!#, I had little hope of getting it white again without resorting to bleach and hot water, probably ruining it for anything but the rag bag. I washed it once in warm water, colorsafe booster, a good long soak before starting agitation, and it came out looking new.
Our colored sets have not faded a bit after many launderings.
Speaking of colors, the darkest blue #Flint?# is not quite a navy blue, a deep blue with hints of grey and green in its undertones. The striking thing about the hue is its chameleon-like ability to combine so well with every color in use in our bathrooms. Those other colors include white, ivory, yellow, khaki, milk chocolate, quite a range of blues and aquas, emerald, deep spruce green #particularly pretty with spruce#, burgundy, grey. We don't have any pinks, mauve or plum, but I bet it would be lovely with them.
If you know yourself to prefer only the thickest plushest towels, or are looking for something beautiful and luxurious-looking, skip these.
Otherwise, if you're looking for an absorbent, comfortable-to-use, neat-looking, durable everyday towel at a good value, give these a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bestofthebest2015 Everything they claim to be
I bought three "sets" of these towels and they dry quickly, are a very tight weave, and they resist bleaching from benzoyl peroxide use. I washed them before I used them and can say they are "liquid bleach" friendly - no fade what-so-ever, just don't overuse the bleach. Each piece (bath towel, hand towel, & wash cloth) is a generous size, and they did not throw off much lint, even during their first cycle in the dryer. As previously mentioned, they are a tight weave, yet they are soft. They seem to be quality, as are most products from LL Bean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dawsondawg best towels I have ever had.
if your idea of a great towel is a super thick, soft, plush, extra fluffy towel - that takes hours to dry in the clothes dryer - this is not your towel.
This is , however, my favorite towel ever. its a tightly woven , super absorbent towel, with just enough nubby texture to provide a light scrubby feel when you are drying off and a great look. The bath towel is a generous size even for large people. A good design for both looks and function. I have the white and they wash beautifully and they hold no stains from bath oil or makeup. They dry VERY quickly either on the towel hook on in the dryer. Guests always comment on them saying ' I thought these were odd when I picked them up but they feel and look GREAT'.
I love the look and the function and think they look very upscale and high end. .. But , if you think a towel should be fat and fluffy and super soft - and you can afford to run the dryer for hours after washing them - this is not your towel. (more for me! )
