Rated 4 out of 5 by WPshopper Fabric too heavy for Florida - even in winter
This is a well-made casual pant that would have been great except that the fabric is just too heavy and thick for use in Florida at any time of the year. The length was too short at 28-1/2" in the size 10 Petite for my 5'4" 138 lb pear shaped frame. The fit in the hips is a tad large as well (did I really just say that?) - I usually wear 10P or 8 Reg in LL Bean pants, but I could have sized down to 8P, except for the length being too short. Would have been willing to exchange for an 8 Reg but I can't think of any occasion when I would wear pants this heavy in weight and feel. They would not be a good choice for vacation either, as they would be too heavy in the suitcase. Maybe Bean will make a summer version next year and I'll try them again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MissBeckyKay Not a good cargo pant
This pant is made very well, and is very comfortable. However, it is thick in material, and would only be good in winter; not a summer pant. What is very bad about this cargo pant, is that the front pockets are so shallow, absolutely NOTHING could go in your front pockets w/o falling out. Also bad, no belt loops. But worse still, the cargo pocket is positioned so low down on your leg, you have to bend all the way over just to get anything out. The cargo pocket should be positioned where a woman's fingertips meet the bottom of the pocket. These are designed for a woman with "ape arms". Women who have need of cargo pants are generally "working" women. Why do all clothing companies think women do not use their pockets? This baffles me. This is not a functional cargo pant in any way, shape or form.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Georgia555 Rugged and comfortable
Comfort waistband is nice, but just a tad low. When I am seated, the button presses against my navel. The front pockets definitely have a problem with being cut too low on the sides....I hesitate to even put my car keys in them because I am afraid they will fall out. And the white pocket lining does show when I am seated. Overall, nice pants that are rugged enough for hiking but sleek enough for town wear. The cargo pockets are nicely sized and placed and they go inside the pant leg rather than outside, so my cell phone does not create an unsightly bulge. Four stars overall, but for $60 I expect perfection, and the front pockets are a significant problem. And they just increased the price by $5. Would like another pair, but not unless they are perfected. They did wash and dry nicely with only a tiny bit of shrinkage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by UpstateNewYorker LOVE That Comfort Waist Band!!!
I now have 4 pair of these -- 2 lined & 2 unlined -- and I love them all. PLEASE put the knit comfort waist band on jeans to replace the elastic "comfort" rear waist bands. Those tend to bunch up or the denim into "gathers" that dig into one's waist & are not comfortable at all. This knit waist band does not bunch up and is wonderful. However, sizing is inconsistent. I have a navy pair (unlined) in size 10 reg that fit fine after washing.. I ordered a pair in shore sand, also unlined size 10 reg, which were too tight and the rise was too high, even BEFORE washing. I tell friends to either order two pair (size you think & one size up) and return the off-sized one, or expect to make an exchange.
I agree with other comments about useless front pockets, but leg pocket is exactly right for an iPhone 6.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SmugOne Simply the best pants I've ever worn
As a long-waisted, long legged female, I've spent my adult life looking for comfortable, yet good looking pants. These are perfect.
I'm grateful that llbean offers size options that include long, as well as other sizes for my short friends.
I wore these on a flight with a print jacket and nice scarf. I felt well put together in first class. They were just as appropriate when I wore them with hiking boots on an open stream train and hike thru the redwoods with my grandson.
Great pants, Bought both colors available in my size. Waiting for black color and a true khaki.. And maybe a sale with a wider range of sizes than current one,

Rated 4 out of 5 by coldfeetjerri Great fit
If the front pockets were deeper these pants would get a five star. I love the style, fit, and comfort. The material is very nice and comes out of the dryer wrinkle free. I picked the khaki color for both pairs since some customers complained about lint on the darker colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PeekaboosMom Right choice, good fit
After reading several reviews I ordered a size12 reg. I'm a 76 yo, 5'5", 165 lbs retired woman and have a "tummy." However, the size fits great thanks to the comfort waist and I'm very happy with these overall. But, as other reviewers pointed out, the front pockets seem to be more for style then utility. Even a tissue might fall out and would not be pockets I'd put my keys or money in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Seabird6 Great for travel
Wore these for 24 hours on international flights and found them still comfortable (and not too wrinkled) at day's end. It was nice to be able to check into classy hotel and not look rumpled & worn. Wide knit(?) waistband is comfortable, not bulky. Cargo pockets deep, not bulky with small loop/button closure. Leg pocket fits phone or passport easily. Travel wallet in other leg allows purse-free travel and not obvious to pickpockets. I don't know whether the material will be too heavy for hot weather, but it was perfect for 60s temps. So comfortable and true to size that I just bought 2 more (teal and sand). Original purchase were navy and olive.Wears well, washes well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by happyscouter Wonderful pants
My sons are Boy Scouts and as a registered Scouter, I wear the women's uniform. I am long from waist to crotch, and have womanly hips. The women's uniform pants don't come to my waist and they also have no give through the hips and thighs. So when I am camping or otherwise doing activities, the uniform pants are constricting and no fun.
I searched online for a solution and found these pants. I LOVE THEM. There is enough stretch to make them very comfortable for all activities, they come to my waist, and they match the regulation uniform pants perfectly. The only drawback for me is no belt loops, so I added them--easy enough. I read complaints about the depths of the pockets: the front pockets don't hold much but the back pockets and leg pockets do. I am REALLY happy and am going to purchase a second pair as a backup.

Rated 4 out of 5 by NorthernWIShopper Great pants, but...
These cargo pants are so comfortable that I own two pairs. I ordered the tall and they shrunk slightly so they are perfect now. I would have given the pants five stars if the front pockets were usable. They are ridiculously short. You really can't carry anything in them. Thankfully, you get the cargo pockets to help make up for the lack of front pockets. One other thing that would be nice are belt loops.
