Pullman The unique split-lid design and separate compartments give you many options for packing and organizing. Opens to three separate zippered compartments. Bottom section is the most spacious; features a clear mesh window and a built-in clothes hugger. One pocket, great for shoes, zips open from the lid. A second lid pocket also zips open, but is accessed from the outside for easy retrieval of liquids or documents at airport security checkpoints. Outside slot pocket is easy storage for a light jacket or a sweatshirt. Smooth-glide ball-bearing wheels will help you maneuver through crowded terminals with ease. Two-stage telescoping handle and side grab-handle for easier transport.

Day Pack Perfectly sized to hold maps, camera, snacks or anything else you might need during a day trip. Topload design allows for easy access to bag contents. Side pocket organizer is great for smaller items you need on hand at all times.

Rated 2 out of 5�by PJZinLA Poor design - Not a good buy We bought this set to replace all of our worn out luggage. Of the three pieces only the large case has any utility. The medium bag doesnt hold hardly anything and is awkward to use with the split design. Medium one is also not expandable. The backpack has only a few pockets and two of them are on the side - neither holds much. If you really want this type of bag buy only the large one. It holds a fair amount of stuff. We took the two suitcases on a recent trip to Europe and I was very sorry i didnt take my Travelpro as a carry on rather than the medium bag. By comparison we took our trusty old rolling duffel and it outperformed both bags in every way. We have had the bags for awhile and only used the large one until recently otherwise we would have returned the whole set - which was my first inclination when they arrived. The most disappointing purchase we ever made from LL Bean. May 23, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5�by Ilovesummertime Very light suitcases! We ordered the set just before our son left for Italy. We were able to pack his toiletries in one of the "cover" pockets and not worry about his clothes being soiled. The pocket and zipper cover is made of some sort of plastic. It is a good place for wet bathing suits also. We were surprised that the cover was split and only held together with the buckles. We tested them for durability before the trip and decided they were rugged enough. The trip was a tour, so the suitcase was dragged on and off a tour bus in addition to enduring the baggage handling at the airport. One of the rubber seams had a tiny piece sheared off. We only saw that when we scoured the baggage looking for damage. When we initially packed the largest bag, we were surprised at how shallow it was. Since the large cover pockets are basically half the depth of the suitcase, it made the main part seem small. However, the suitcase was able to hold at least as much as any other luggage we have owned. The suitcases are incredibly lightweight. We weighed it fully packed at 35 pounds; half of what the airline would allow. The carry-on also has the split cover with large pockets. It was a tight squeeze for a large digital camera and a laptop, but we got them to fit. We tucked the backpack into the carry-on, and my son used it for carrying his camera and jacket throughout his trip. He felt the backpack was a perfect size and was sympathetic to the students who brought full-sized backpacks. We have used this luggage for a couple of more trips and have been greatly pleased. We actually bought a second set. Now, both sets are being packed for another trip. We are most happy with the separate pockets, allowing us to pack without having to dig for articles of clothing that we need. They are amazingly lightweight and easy to put into the car and carry in and out of hotels. The handles are the perfect length (our son is 6ft 4 in and our daughter is 5ft. 1 in.), and the suitcases rolled beautifully for all of us without knocking anyone in the heels. May 2, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5�by Beejay58 versatile luggage This luggage is well designed. We used the largest one on a recent trip to Maui and having separate compartments made packing much easier. Sandals and shoes in one compartment and towels, hats, etc in another. The large lower section fit 2 sets of snorkels, masks and fins and then some. While the lower section does zipper up as two separate compartments I was not concerned about that because the buckles on the top outside of the bag are designed to keep everything closed and secure. The design accommodated our packing needs. If you have children to pack for this luggage will accommodate 'kids stuff'. The bags are really well constructed. The zippers slide easily and did not ever get stuck or crimped. The fabric is durable and the wheels and handle are strong. The backpack is small but great for carrying water, lunch, ice pack. Each piece is lightweight so with current weight restrictions on airlines you can pack more without going overweight. It is very good value and I did purchase it on sale. April 30, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5�by DylanMoney good bags, backpack is mostly useless The backpack that comes with the kit is not really useful for me, as it lacks any pockets besides the main one. It may be good for a short hike, but when taking a trip I'd like to have a backpack that has plenty of storage options. Other than that the bags are as I expected. Can't speak for durability, as I have only had them for a short time. September 19, 2012
